Hi there
You got a very nice page here (!), so I’d like to introduce myself briefly.

I drove a 1980 Accord Hatchback all through the 80s and after missing it very hard for a long time, I started to restore some of these wonderful cars in 2003.
Unfortunately I don’t got much time for this momentary and only one of them is street legal now (“No. 4”), but I’ll try fix the others through the next years.

More about me and my craze you’ll find on cardomain:
Main page:

This is the page of a very good friend and my second native place:

All the best from Germany, Detlef

PS:
This is my 1981 Hatch, together with my 1965 Eriba caravan:

oh no more noobs!! haha just kidding, welcome to the board, nice to see someone else with an older accord, before I got my 86 hatch I was into the old civics,if i ever get a scanner that works I'll post some picts. never seen anyone tow a trailer that size with an 81. they seem to be popular to restore in european countries, here in the US they are junk to a lot of people  actually the old ones with the quad headlights look a lot like early bmw s. anyway once again welcome to the board. glad to have you hee.

Hi
Your’e wrong, japanese cars are not much popular as classics here and the Accord is one of the most unliked.
Japanese cars are scorned here as ‘poor man car’ through the 70s and 80s and this continues to classic car meetings just till now, nevertheless the Accord was the best sold japanese car in Germany 1980 / 81.

The early Civic got much more enthusiasts here, but I don’t know many german 1st gen. Accord owners, this is why I like to get international contacts. If you like to get a look on my Cardomain page, you’ll find many more Accord fans in the friends list.

Towing isn’t much unusual, my Eriba caravan is a very small one and the 80hp EL engine got more than enough power.

Gutentag Detlef,
Nice pictures from you on cardomain. I saved quite a few for use on my desktop, with your permission of course.
Not a fan of caravans I am, but some nice scenery :-)
Grtz,
Guido
