New exhaust, woot!

Well, my poor crappy rusted exhaust finally pissed me off for the last time... the stupid straight pipe the stupid muffler shop welded in place of the shredded flex pipe broke off (actually, the crappy weld the guy made just in front of the cat broke off), so I bit the bullet...

A buddy got me some killer pricing on a new Magnaflow cat and street muffler (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=766) and bent up a custom 2" pipe job and some custom hangers....

Wow, what a difference! Sounds wicked, nice and ballsy, not that typical leaf-blower rice-burner whine... and holy crap, a pretty serious performance boost for a little carbed A20A2! Nice smooth power all across the band.

we have damn near the same muffler. my tip is slightly longer is the only difference. sounds nice huh? :D really loud tho...

i got 2.25 straight pipe to a rice can.... and hate it... i changed it to a a highflow cat and a muffler off an integra... sounds good

at the mo i threw the middle pipe section away sold the cat to a junkyard for $5 and replaced middle section with a 2.2 " from a NZ new accord (no emission controll bullshit) with the stock 2.0Si twin pipe muffler and you can feel the power increase. I have a lukey turbo 3" muffler and tip to stick on with a few cobys in the future when i find a job....

I love the fact that it isn't a zoom tube. In fact, I'm proud of 3Gz for how few zoom tubes we have (meaning the fatty circle sported on nearly every riced out civic in the United States, and possibly Canadia (<- that's a joke)
