k, my stupid iron block :p is stuttering and backfiring on occasion at very low rpm. like 1500 in first from a light.

toss me ideas. fuel pressure is right, timing is right. #2 is dead, but i dont think thats gonna be it. although its strong on the gas, so apparently is only dead at idle :rolleyes:

check the cap rotor and the wires to the cylinder that is mis-firing

I've experienced that on 2 occasions

head gasket blown with cracked combustion chamber
ignitor went bad on the distributor and eventually it wouldn't idle or start up

o shit your #2 is dead. What do u mean dead, no compression? Cuz I was loosing compression when my head cracked and it idled lower and then did a rumbly start type of thing.
