Anybody have any experience with Gabriel Struts? I can get a good deal on them... and I need new struts. Are KYBs much better?

Thanks!

yeah they are OEM but they are the premium ones ...they feel more stiff than the old ones...the only bad thing on this was that one of the brake line mounts was bent ...nothing a rubber hammer could not fix...and it worked fine...now i can feel my car has more grip...and i can burn out clean...i like the smell of tires in the morning...

I'd certainly hope that any new shocks are stiffer than the worn ones that they're replacing. Whether or not they are stiffer than the OEM parts when new is still unclear.

kyb's as well as tokicos are 15% stiffer than stock. Gabriel are stock replacement. im not sure why many members pick tokicos over kybs...maybe its cuz tokicos are japanese :D

I've had KYB GR2s before and they didn't feel ANY stiffer than stock. Unless htey publish technical info on compression and rebound specs vs OEM specs I say they're BSing.

i shouldve said they are supposed to be 15% stiffer than stock. at least thats what they claim.

I know that's what they claim, but I don't buy it. I think people should consider them stock replacements.

its generally accepted that kybs are stock replacement, at least on the board.
