Hey guys, ive posted on here before about how I have a WHOLE bunch of 1-2g hondas, plus a handful of Acura Legends...I proved the Acuras..now let me prove about the 1-2g Accords.......
The first one im showing use to run when parked (working on getting it running to sell)...i have another one not shown in pictures but its forsale ...Next to it is also a 1g hatch 5sp im using for parts for my 80 hatch restoration(RUNS still)
http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/6029/picture0468qa.jpg
Here is a rear show of the 2g accord above and 1g hatch above shown in the pic as well as the rear of my 3g LX
http://img435.imageshack.us/img435/2779/picture0505yd.jpg
This 2g runs great. My wife drove it 40 miles 5das a week to work and back then parked it just because (LX, all power)
http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/8176/picture0348kx.jpg
This one here is for parts for the one above. Blown head gasket is why she is sitting here today
http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/6124/picture0485dq.jpg
This one is actually the other one I have forsale. Once I take the toe hitch off the front, she is up for grabs. I would like to sell the whole car as is, but if I cant, ill part her out..also, she is a 5sp Hatch
http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/7789/picture0378df.jpg
and last...this isnt a 1g or 2g accord..yet a 1g civic cvcc!!!! ALL ORGINAL, MATCHING NUMBERS ON EVERYTHING. needs some work but she runs......
http://img435.imageshack.us/img435/1012/picture0510ko.jpg
So......what do you guys think of my neat little collection...chk out the 1g accord section to see my 1g accords and 1g prelude and 2g civic i have also....

Nice. I hope you do NOT sell that gray hatch! I'd like some stuff off it, but not the whole car. I'm ready now, but no biggie. LX's had a couple things I'd like to get for my S model hatch. Nice old school collection you got there.

Oh yeh, also give me a reasonable offer and we might have a deal bro..

That 1g civic has been sitting there for YEARS..since i was a little kid...i actually dented in the hood from me and my younger cousin jumping over the top of it to get out the side of the shed back in the days lol. Behind the shed this 1g civic sits in, is another on but blue, im stripping it down for parts. I have 1 more beside my parts 3g, i need a special tool to get the alt. off and replaced, i cant find that special tool any where...anyone got an idea of where I can find it at???

Cool. The LX hatches originally came with a cargo shelf. Half of it attaches by those rear speaker grills and the other half is attached to the hatch lid itself. Cheap little wood thing is all it is really... 3g hatches had a different shelf configuration.

Both of the hatches you mentioned are LX's right? I'm sure the gray one is and if the "red" one is really maroon, then it is as well. How deep are you going into stripping these out? The parts I mentioned are pretty easy to get to, but I can ALWAYS use clips (door panels) and screws and stuff. Not worth really going after that stuff just for those fasteners though (unless you want to).

Also, how's $50 and I pay shipping? If we can swing it, I'd like all the fasteners that you have when you take the goods out (screws, clips, nuts, brackets, etc). That wiring harness excites me, but it may be tricky. I honestly don't know. An uncut harness with plugs would be tight. From the actuator to the switches to the cluster... Lemme know how that all sounds and we can go from there. Thanks man!

Yes it Maroon and its an LX, thats where the rear speaker covers are coming from along with the clock. now when i take parts off, i keep the bolts, screws, nuts, etc all together so yeh i can send all that with you as well. If your wanting an UNCUT wire harness for the CC from the actuator to the plugs to the switches to the cluster, that will take me some time and labor....have you taken a dash off before? Lol. How about this..ALL the fastners, everything on your list minus the cargo shelf, and any little odds and ends you might want (door handles, switches..anything that will fit in a medium box with everything else) plus a full uncut wireharness for the CC including the switch, and cluster light for $75+shipping. Im just trying to make it worth the time to pull that dash off so i can get an uncut wire harness. IF your serious about it..ill get it this weekend and let you know the shipping. Brain storm and let me know if you need knik naks, small stuff. Ill help you out. lol. Im serious about parting this grey accord out also, so if your into getting more parts, let me know. Ill take detail pictures for you so you know the condition of everthing also.

Yeah, I'm serious as a heart attack. Check out my cardomain link and you'll see what I mean! $75 is fine IF you can get that harness uncut; I definitely understand labor and having parts arrive at my door being winnner winner chicken dinner. And I defintely HATE hearing of usable cars going for $50 and being crushed immediately. There may even be more than one harness for the CC. Honestly, I don't know. All I can say is follow it from the actuator back and just keep digging til you you get all the wires. If it helps, I can take a picture from the Honda ETM and you can see the colors of the wires and where they go, but it won't show you how they routed everything. Now I'm wondering if the harnesses might be different fo the AT v. MT... I know this. Everything cruise wise is the same on all the 4 doors (they ALL came with cruise) and the 3 door LX as far as the actuator, vacuum tank, and underhood stuff. The computer unit, however, is DIFFERENT for the AT and MT. Hmmm... I know the 3 door LX's had the courtesy lights in the doors, but I don't know if that would somehow ever cross with the cruise circuits. There is also a kill switch on the backside of the brake pedal that I need; I'm sure it has some wires going to it! I'll chance it-- go ahead and get the harness(es) uncut and I'll work with it if need be.

Odd parts... Do any of your hatches have OEM hatch struts that hold up the Hatchlid without it slowly falling? I got some AC Delco ones and they are different (and rub the paint slightly)...
Horn slip ring (between the steering wheel and combo switch, may actually screw to the combo switch. I believe the CC set/resume switch on the wheel has some electrical connectors that plug into this slip ring).

Cruise switches (dash, steering wheel)

Exterior black side protectors (may not fit in a box, clips usually break if removed from outside. 6 total/3 per side)

AC misc. crap. Probably not, but I am getting mine looked at SOON because it is not right. If it's a line or some easy relay switch, I'll let you know in detail. No compressor or condensor type stuff though.

That's all I can really think of and the main stuff is the first list. Check my feedback on ebay (jggoode) and you'll see I'm reliable. Pretty much if you take it off and don't need it and it fits, send it my way. Man, I hate for old Honda parts to go to waste!! Thanks bro.

**EDIT** Check to see what manufacturer made your instrument cluster! Mine is a NIPPON SEIKI. Not 100% sure, but it may make a difference (may not) in that CC wiring harness. Look at the bottom right hand corner and be sure you have one that says NIPPON SEIKI. I think the late 84's and all 85's went to the Nippon Seiki. If there is a little symbol like an "N" and another letter, that won't work (well, it might not). "Nippon Seiki" is actually all printed out on the lower portion

Yes, the side moldings. A small one is on the front fenders, a long one runs the length of the door and a medium one on the rear quarters.... The door side molding has a nut in addition to the plastic clips. Also, the rear speaker grills are kind of an assembly. In the pic, they're numbers 3 and 4. Not sure if you could "just" remove the grilles by themselves, but I need that holder/peg thingy for my cargo shelf. My car has some grill covers ONLY and I need the whole ball of wax. NO biggie, just being sure! Let me know. PayPal cool when we do it? Thanks my man.

Cool. Might as well get what I can off it. FYI, the hatch LX clocks glowed orange and had orange lettering by the buttons/on the front door thingy. 4 door LX clocks glowed green and had white letterings on the front (for reset, hour, minute, etc.) I'm good either way, but the orange/3 door ones are "rarer". all good.

Hey offthahook. I got some of the parts you need. The wireharness is a bitch to trace and I cut some wires that didnt need to be sent, but as i got closes to the end, the wires split up and go to different directions....So...im going to send you the full wireharness if thats okay. WHAT EVER is missing, you let me know and ill try to locate it for you, the CC wireharness came from an 85 accord 4Dr Auto. now. i also got a 84 hatch MT, yours is Auto correct? Now for some options.....
I got your ORANGE lite Quartz Digi Clock. In the Hatch, all is orange...... I tried to get the AC switch out because it orange also but id have to remove the dash, and it was a bitch removing the dash for the harness out of the 4dr. So. I got the cover for the AC switch that is orange lite for you. Cool? I also got the green full ac switch for you to. You can have both.

I got a cargo Deck but its in dire need of help. It has all the pieces but probable will need to be rebuilt (new wood and whatnot) Still want?

I got the rear speaker decks, One is red, other Grey, I hope thats not a problem.

Sunvisors....whats your deffention of not sunrotted? Lol. I got some but they are in ..eh okay condition, Deff can tell its been exposed to heat and noraml wear and tear....till want? What color do you want?

Rear mudgards..i got the passenger side one, but still looking for a driver side.

Mirrors...I got those also but not sure about the passengerside yet. still looking.

Im going to include the backside covor of the steerwheel for you also because its cut out for the switch on the steerwheel. So you dont have to cut it and it look shitty lol. Anything else? Ill get this right now for you. I also have rear OEM stuts for the hatch i believe. not sure if OEM but they are good. Ill get those for you. I think thats all im going to be able to get off these cars right now. its 3:42 now so just let me know...Thanks

All good! Were you able to get the cruise kill switch that sits on the backside of the brake pedal? It has 4 wires (probably a harness) that are colored gray, green/white, light green, and white/yellow. Also, the horn slip ring that attaches to the steering wheel combo switch. If you remove the steering wheel (19mm nut), the ring is right there. In the picture below, the brake switch is number 17 and the slip ring is number 11. I guess the brake switch would be on the backside of the brake pedal itself, maybe up higher, but on the brake assembly for sure.
The wires look scary but nice!! There may have been some wiring harness(es) that went to the fusebox on the inside of the car, on the lower dash. I think the cruise has its own fuse, but I just don't know how it all gets routed! Did you have to remove the gauge cluster to get any of those wires for the cruise unit? I figure I can route the wires and get it right somehow. Let me know about shipping to 46143 and I'll paypal. No biggie if you can't get the horn slip ring and the brake switch, but it will be easier for me if you can. Thanks man!!

He needs the center cap for the steel rims. Yeah, it looks like a shot glass. Hey man, I have a really nice green center console from a 4 door 1G Accord. You know, has the storage bin in front of the shifter. The 3 doors just have the console minus the storage bin. If your silver 4 door 1G has a decent red center console with the storage bin, you wanna trade?? If not, I can paint mine red. Keep in mind, though, the 4 doors have remote locks and the lever for those locks sits in the center console. Obviously, the 3 doors don't have that locking feature. I could cover that area or just leave it (assuming the consoles swap... never tried it yet), but didn't know if that being there would bother you. The 4 door has a more functional center console, IMO. I am assuming the 3 and 4 door center hump is similar enough to swap 'em out.

Anyways, after i finished working on my 3g, i went to work on the 2g accord. I removed the whole dash with everything still attached to the dash....
I got the computer you showed in the picture along with another black box that is connected to it and it runs to the slip ring. I got all the stuff below...

Slip-ring from steering wheel
CC switch and wire harness
Kill switch for brake pedal
Kill switch for clutch pedal, (You dont need but went to the wire harness so i included it)
Full wireharness from inside car
Fuse box with wire harness
Back cover piece for steering wheel
random screws and bolts

After looking at your cardomain site again, i see you have the orange lettering interior. Lol. Why do you need another clock if you got one? I have some extra orange color parts (blinker switch, window wipers, etc) I took off. What exactly broke on your AC switch box again? Tomorrow I should be able to get the rest of the wireharness out, and this time it is truely uncut....You can have fun with that, its not too bad because this one is ACTUALLY from a 3dr lol. Its up to you if you want to throw in more money or not, im askin for it. My friends are lookin at me like im crazy that im selling all this stuff and doing all this work for only $75 bucks. Lol...im just enjoying myself and learning as i do it, so it doesnt really bother me. But I will tell how how much shipping was and whatnot. I cant wait to see this all on your car, wish i could help put it on actually. Now, if your not driving your car dailey, is suggest swapping out the wireharness completely, but thats just me. This wireharness is 100% uncut, I even got the wires that go to the window wipers! lol. So you should have it all. Ill take pictures tomorrow.

Dude, you are the MAN! That's how I learned in the day (taking stuff off donor cars). I will def. throw you some more money for your time and completeness. Trust me, I know what you're up against. Honda didn't design the CC to be retro added. Wiring harnesses are always extra sweet if they are uncut, which is pretty much how I have to roll on this project. I'm glad you're learning on this one! Believe me, it will help you immensely in the future.

I really don't need another orange digital clock, but the one I have now is kinda rough. Letters are rubbed off somewhat and the lens is foggy. I figure if you had a clock, I'd snag it since it is from a 3 door LX (4 door Accords had the white numbers on the gauges and a green digital clock). People describe their stuff as "like new" and I get broken stuff! That's how that clock went down.

My AC switch just sticks in sometimes. You push the "AC" on and you go to push the AC off, but it stays in (AC ON). 3 or 4 door switch will work since the knobs are the only orange things and I have those already. No biggie on that really, but it should be easy to get to since the dash is GONE! Nice work there. Where was the brake kill switch attached on the brake pedal? I'm assuming the same place where my brake switch is on my car, but I wanna get that part right THE FIRST TIME. Man, imagine if that switch was placed a little bit wrong on the pedal and it didn't kill the CC when the brake pedal was applied. The way it looks, though, my brake switch just activates the brake lights. The CC kill switch is a combo of brake lights activation and cruise shutdown if CC is on. Either way, I think there is just one switch. Hopefully, I just replace my switch with yours and everything runs through that one switch. It is all to the good at this point. Can't wait to get the loot, but handle your other business first, player. I'll check for the pics. later on...

There was only 1 switch, and it was placed in front of the brake pedal. Does the metal braket infront of your brake pedal have a spot for it to screw in? I hope so. Ill take pics of where it was located at. Also, that computer for the CC bolts up directly under the firewall underneath the dash up top. You are going to have to remove the dash in order to install it properly. its not hard at all actually. Just take time and dont break shit. lol. Im going to finish what i started today on the hatch for ya since im at a dead stand still for about 2 weeks on my car. Your stuff in nbr 1 right now since you are the customer lol.I also have to make up my mind if I want to buy an OEM headgasket or an aftermarket one. Im about to buy an 89 lxi coupe soon so ima have some questions for ya also! lol

Ok i learned something today. I completely wasted my time on the first harness because i didnt think about it first. I took it out of a 4door LX. No wonder there were so many wires! lol. power windows/curt. lights etc for the rear doors. Lol. I sent it anyways but the 3door harness was MUCH easier!.... Here are the pics with some notes for them. I didnt get the harness that goes down the driver side door panel to the rear (brake lights, left rear speaker/fuel pump/ etc...etc.) But I did get the passenger side because it was perm attached to the carharness unlike the driver side that detached. but the whole harness for the entire car is there other then the driver side which you wont need to swap out. Any questions on how to install this when it comes time, call me joel nizzle! lol. Its all wraped, packed, and taped rdy to send out, I est. this box weights about 75 lbs Lol. Oh another thing, the cargo deck wouldnt fit into the box so what do ya wanna do about it? I would break it down but i didnt want to bend the metal bar that goes across the tray, But it will be additional shipping for that since its going to be in a sep box...do you still want it? get back at me with your decision on that. anyways, here are the pics.....

That is the shiz right thuRR mang... Yeah. the 4 door LX has a lot more electrical type accessories on it. The only thing I would have wanted off that would have been a power antenna and wiring, but I'm really good without it. 3 doors didn't get all the goodies like power everything. You learned a TON doing that and doing it right! Those uncut wires in the flesh (well, almost) make my frown go upside down. I'm throwing in some paypal funds right now for labor; get with me on shipping costs. It will go to Indianapolis, IN, ZIP is 46225 for the Greyhound bus station itself. What a trip that place is, LOL for reals! I'll enjoy picking it up. Pack it hella tight because Greyhound "cargo personnel" aren't neat and tidy. I'm all about that cargo shelf, but finding a box might be hard. No prob. paying additional shipping fer it. Glad you didn't try to break it down because it really won't.

Those are the correct center caps for the guy in South America. He was asking me if I had a set, but I don't.

Double check with Greyhound to be sure about the address and how you label it so it won't end up somewhere else. Man, it's hard out here for a pimp... Going to junkyards after they say "Yeah, we got a couple of those cars." They end up being Preludes, Civics, 3G Accords and crap like that. Waste a freaking day trying to tell these knobs that I need 84-85 Accord parts, maybe 82-85 on some things. You made my life much easier with that albatross you just raped! Let me know when it's going buh bye because I can think of some little things (NOTHING LIKE A CRUISE CONTROL HARNESS SITUATION) I might want just cuz. I still have to take my whip in for the AC diagnosis. I have a feeling someone was already in there and may have tried to outengineer Honda on that. It looks intact, just not quite right. If it's simple enough, I'll hit you up if that's cool. Peace.

Keep tryin to make the money for rent and stop those bitches jumpin ship! lol. later bro

I've thought of the power windows and power locks, but I wanna keep some of the true old school vibe. Plus, it's a lot of modding to get that stuff tight (like Kobe on game night). I've seen a couple guys "try" to add actuators for power stuff and it ends up being ghetto most times. It just wasn't designed to have that stuff. Adding cruise will be a challenge even, but I know it can be done right with what's there already. I'm just pulling some LX stuff to my hatch really. Power locks and windows would be bananas, but I gotta keep it real and manual...

Hi 87accordHB,

Yes, I was talking about those center wheels hubcaps, or whatever the names is...I´m not sure about the english name for those center wheels "lids" heheheh.
Those you are showing in the picture, are those for a 1g accord?
I have idea about the price...
I´ll get back to you with a better idea on the price.

Thanks!
Best Regards
