I was on my way home from work and I just had a feeling to stop by the local dealership! I drove there (of coarse they were closed, fuckaz) and i saw a almost mint 1989 Honda Accord LX. Paint was almost flawless! just a little rust on the passenger side rear fenderwell, a few key scratches on the trunk and a few scuffs from another bumper on the rear bumper. It's an Automatic tho but in very good condition. It looks like this but stock: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/388859. The interior is so so clean and smells wonderful. The best thing is, it only has 87,600 miles, i was like HOLY SH*T! I'm going back today after school for pics and a price. Hopefully they're not dicks and ask more than $3K. I'll keep you posted....

Oh...im not sure if its FI or Carb. tho. I hope FI, cool if they'red be a VTEC in it! Oh well I can dream......

yep, DX and LX are carbed. LXI and SEI are fuel injected.

i see no point buying carb, too silly, maybe if you are willing to do a Efi conversion later.

Well, I checked the car out yesterday after school and it's FI. They're askin $2990 for it. Its so clean and only like 87000 miles. idk...i'll try and get pics. they said they've had it fir like a month now and no1 has even looked @ it. Maybe they'll be leanient and flex the price a little bit. or use mine as a Trade-in. I'll keep you posted.

I would DEFINETLY have thsi car inspected toroughly. It's not supposed to be Fuel Injected. Something's fishy here.

Does it have a sunroof?

Yea, it has a sunroof, power locks, power windows, power mirrors and it has the tape deck where the se-i cupholders go but no armrest. and it is in mint condition!

yeah, sounds to be lxi=ish. ask them how much they want for it and then shoot them a super low ball price like $800, tell them thats all you got and see if they bite

hope is not to late.....try to bargain it as low as you can first before you throw in a trade-in. trust me...it's a different story if you start off the other way. If you take the time, ask other places how much your trade-in and then go back and deal with them. Again, don't tell them that you have a trade-in until the end.

if its on the lot for 2990 and its been there for a month, they'll give it to you for under 1000. guaranteed they didnt pay over 500 for it in the first place.

yeah that is some good advice... my friend got a 97 nissan 240sx that way...they wanted like 13,000 it and then at the end of many days they let him get it for 8,500 and that was when he said that he wanted to trade in his 89 240sx and he almost got it for like 7,400...now he has a way newer car for less cash and he already started fixing it up he says when he is finished it will be pumping out 350hp with a turbo

personally, i wouldnt buy another 3gee unless it was injected. i love my carb though. but yeah, unless i could get a bad ass deal on it i wouldnt really think about it. can you get some actual pix of the car? i dunno, if i could put dual webers on it then i'd get another carbed one. definately would need to be a 5 speed.

yea, well i went by there yesterday and talked to them about it. There was no classification logo (Ex. DX, LX, etc.) on the back and he looked it up. Yup, LX-i. I talked them down to $2100 so far. There is a kid here @ school that wants to buy mine for $1000, so i only need $1100 :eek5: for a new 3Gee! Oh and I'm going to pay them in cash for it if I do so i prolly could get it really cheap. Go in be like " I give u $1500, CASH!" I'll keep u posted.

To the o' mighty 3GEEZ

an LX-i makes a big difference though. i'd go for it.

well, the body is a bit rusted. $2000 at the most. but try enticing them with cash. if you have $1000 for your car, they might let it go if you have cash in hand.

Lsi or not I don't think the extra few HP makes a diff if its an automatic.
