your idle problem is fast idle valve. It is worn out, but you can still fix it.
The valve is located on the Throttle body near firewall. remove the top that is held with two screws. use very wide about 1" wide flat screw driver. turn it clockwise (make adjustment when the engine is running.) untill the rpm stabilize and no longer jumping. Let the car warm up to full operating temp. Adjust the idle (not the fast Idel). the crew for it located in the front of the throttle body.
You may want to download shop manual. it is in the sticky threads on this board. It is FREE.

Ok thank you I have played with the fast idel and idel now when she is running she will idel at 1.5K when cold that was as far down as I could get the idel. Now when I driveing her she is ok. when I come to a stop she ideles at 800. What I have seen is this 1 when she is cold and just started up she fires of just fine but somkes real bad. So bad that I have a smoke screen if I don't move her. 2. after she get warmed up she is fine to idel with little to no smoke. But if I shut her down she is hard to get started after that. when she does start she want to idel at 100 to 200 then after a 1 to 2 miniets of that she goes back to ideling at the 1.5K. What's going on here please help. Oh by the way where in the fourms is that repair manual at? I'm new to the site I have lerned a lot by just reading. When I have some free cash to give I will give a $100.00 to $200.00 to this site just to say thank you and keep up the good work. By the way is there a fourm out there that talks about the new Hibrad Honda Accord's? My dad has got a 2005 Honda Accord Hibrad.

sorry for a delay. I haven't been on the board for a while.
As I understood, your car smokes when your first start. well, your problem with smoking could be valve seals, worn out valve guides or piston rings don't seal all the way.
You may want to check the compression in all 4 cylinders and compare to shop manual specs. if it is within specs, than move on to valve seals. I am not sure how good you are mechanicly, but it is not that easy to replace them. I have done a few times on my 2 cars and my friends cars. Prepare to spend at least a day doing it. You will probably will have to rent valve spring compressor tool.
As far as cold idle, well, check the ECu for any codes. The ECu is located under the driver seat. Move the seat all the way to the front and look from behind. You will see a box on the floor with a little window. Pop that window, start the car and see is the light is blinking. If you see the light blinking, count how many times it blinks. It will blink fast and it will have one long pause between.
Start with this, and I can help from there.

ok. as for the smokeing I check in to that. Thank you. As for the code it is flashing 5 I think I had to count 5 times. it may be 6 but I think it is 5. Now I have drive all the way to kansas and found that she eat all most all of the 20 50W oil. And then the AT started actting up. it would not shift up passed 20 MPH found that she was out of oil. So I put some stop leak and 2 qts of oil. She was over by about 1/2 qt. Now when I drive her she hangs at about 30 MPH then it shifts if I drop her down in to drive 3 then back to drive 4 she will shift down. Then if I keep pushing her she will hard shift at 40 MPH then one more time at 50 MPH or around then. If I drive after her shifting at 50 and stay at 50 to 55 she will act as if she is loseing power then the power comes back then gone. If you drive from 55 to 75 she is fine. Thank you for all your help.

fix the code. code 5 is for map sensor and code 6 is for temp sensor.
replace the map sensor. it is located inside the black box with all those vacuum lines coming out of it under the hood. it is easy to replace it.
you can get new map sensor with wires at Advance Auto Parts or your local autoparts store.

Remember to reset ECU after your replace the map sensor.
