3G With Corvette Kit??

I remember a while back someone posted a photo of a 3g on the road with a corvette rear end and a couple other wierd body mods.Well n-eways i found this pic but it's real small and when i enlarge it, it blurrs up.So if anyone can enlarge/clear up this photo we can be sure if it is or not.If someone could photo shop it that would be wonderful thanx. why do people do that, it doesnt look good. I mean yes it is custom or time well spent cuz it looks clean, but whats the point when it doesnt look good, doesnt flow with the car. Why would a car have round tails when the body is squared?

ARGGG. my head in boiling right now with anger and confusion? now..i have a set of r32 skyline tails sitting right next to me in a box...i got the complete set..INCLUDING the oem reverse lights...do we see oem r32 reverse lights? no. they are for the taillight conversion for my s13...still a nissian, as is the r32. I can understand that...but on a honda? Im second guessing doing the conversion now because the are on hondas. Also...s15 conversions on hondas and acuras also?!? wow....give me the address of those owners...im sending them bags a rice....

Why are people so quick to judge other people on the looks of the car and make assumptions (like saying they have 120HP without even knowing for sure) instead of realizing how much time, effort, skill, hard work and money was put into the car. Maybe it's not your style but there aren't too many that can do something like that to a 1980's honda/acura with minimum aftermarket support. you need to start appricating how much skill these people have not judge what the car looks like, especially if you have never done anything custom before because it is really hard to do something like that.

I think the conversions on the ludes are pretty clean to me. I don't see how there rice either but that's just me. it'snot like the cars had some wild paint scheme or big oversized wing. The conversions are simple and just add a little bit to the car.

Those conversions are sick but illegal. If I would have put all this time and effort in it, I would have at least made sure they're legal.

They just have no rear side reflectors/parking light. Imagine a cop pulling you over... what would you do? Start the job all over again?

That's your opinion. But in my opinion hard work and a lot of effort does not AUTOMATICALLY MEAN it's a good idea, worth doing, or good looking. I realize how much work it is to blend car parts together, I helped a guy put a mustang cobra bumper on his Z24 cavalier (which later became a convertable, shaved everything, chevy 350 in front, rwd, etc etc etc etc)... but in my opinion, which CAN IN FACT be different than yours, putting rounded tailights from a rounded curvy car onto an angular one that doesn't have any rounded curves is a stupid idea because it looks DUMB.

I would have to say that the yellow prelude looks pretty damn good and there was alot of time and effort put into it. You never know whats going on under the hood :wave: .

Ok back on topic with the first post, the accord you are talking about with the vet conversion on the front and back is located right down the street from me. He has a HUGE tri-stacked wing on it now, and he painted it some god awfull color with graphics on the side + he still has the stock hubcaps on stock suspention. I am waiting to see what it looks like once he gets rims, but as of now it looks like Shit. All the work was doen by himself and friends and they did a hell of a job, but the car is definitly not my taste. here is the picture you are talking about.

its a third gen accord and I know it is a hatch or coupe, but that is all I can tell.

oohhhhh... gawd... yah that isn't my taste either, but props on the work, it's good to see some one working on their own car. It looks like his rear wheels are offset too far back....and needs some seriously bigger front tires, but i'm sure that's in the makings and plans... IMO he shoulda also brought the rear bumper down more so it's all straight...but tha'ts IMO

It's not a cover, or at least it wasn't untill it was.

They still have curves where it counts, most noticebly the fender flares over each wheel, and the sloping hood. It's not as curvy as an eclipse, but it's not anywhere near the 'linear' design of the accord.


I am waiting to see what it looks like once he gets rims, but as of now it looks like Shit. All the work was doen by himself and friends and they did a hell of a job, but the car is definitly not my taste. here is the picture you are talking about.

Wow. What a piece of shit. For the amount of time he put in that thing he could be driving a pretty nice car, but instead he has some god awful abortion of an attempt at a fast and furious mobile. Jesus christ. What the hell does that guy smoke?!

And yeah, it's a 4 door. Mine looks exactly like that, minus the 500 lbs of bondo and primer. I think the funniest part is he chose a vette. Now, vettes are okay, but generally GM's industrial design is severely lacking. They put out designs that other companies would throw into the garbage at stage 1 of hte process. I think that guy should finish his work, then paint it red, take photos, and apply to be a designer at pontiac, so he can throw 'performance rakes' along the sides of any vehicle, even if it's a stupid grand am. He'd probably get hired. :nuts:
