i need to replace my ecu... i just wanted to know if there is anything i need to know as far as finding a proper ecu for my car... i am getting it from the junkyard. will any 88-89 ecu work???
additional info:
was once auto, now a stick... should i grab
auto ecu or manual ecu ???
88 lxi, w/cruise, elect. window/locks
any help appreciated

According to his sig, he's using the engine out of his 87. You'll need an 86-87 ECU in that case.

That's right, he's using the engine :D

Block and head. There's no point in using the 86-87 manifolds.

i got all the 88-89 parts on it... including the engine wiring harness

so any 88-89 will work huh... thanx
