ok so as some of you know i bought a set of DC headers that Matt (B16KILLA) found at our last junkyard meet. anyway, the only reason why i have not put them onto my car yet is because well, the EGR INLET is snapped off. i mean completely gone. i know i need this for emissions especially here in california  so i want to put the thing back on.

since these headers were found at a junk yard, i dont think we're going to find the damn EGR inlet if i go back and look for it. plus that junk yard is an hour away from my house:eek5: .

so how can i solve this problem? besides of course permanately welding the egr on. lol can i use home depot shit? and if i can what kind of material can withstand the heat?

by the way if this has been covered...oh well. i searched and the advanced searched feature kept timing me out. and whenever it did go through it would say sorry try again:Owned2:

any help will be appreciated thanks guys!:help:

and no I didnt find it persay. one of the other members here, matt otherwise known as B16KILLA, found it and let me have it, since he already had pacesetters. well he had ordered them already :D

anyway, anyone know a solution to my prob?

Maybe you can find a header at a local junkyard & take it to a welding/fab shop & have them torch the EGR outlet off on the junkyard header & weld it on that DC header. Just a thought.

you mean look for another actual header? like a pacessetter or another dc? comeon dude it was hard enough to find this. not that we were looking for it, it just happened to apper lol.

but if you mean to cut up the stock manifold, i dont think it would work. if you look at the picture of the dc headers with the inlet off, you will notice that its completely different than the stock. the stock manifold is cast iron and it its way thicker than that lil pipe that the egr screws into

Yeah I meant get a stock junkyard header, but if you don't think it will work then ok.

Well, still think a fab/welding shop can help you out if you take that Dc header to them & explain what you need done. What ever you do, it is going to require some welding.

just get a new outlet welded on. The trhead size might be a bit hard to find tough.

Any exhaust shop should be able to weld something up for you.

Yeah dude get a flange welded there... well a flange for the EGR pipe and a new pipe and flange comming of off the header...
I think you'll have to settle for a 2 bolt flange, not sure if they make 3 bolt flanges in a small enough diameter. Then find some exhaust suitable gasket and bolt the two flanges together.... or have them weld on new pipe fittings... poblem with that it is might not be a good seal since out pipe has a little lip on it to seal under compression against the other end of the pipe.

2 bolt flange... looks small enough.

It's threaded but other 2 bolt flanges I've seen out there don't... not that it matters though, welding it will work, threads or not.

LOL, it's called a wastegate flange... I knew I've seen it somewhere... should be able to find one easy.

cool thanks for all your help guys, i was actually thinking of going to an exhaust shop to ask them if they could work something out. i think im going to do that first, and ask how much its going to be. if its too much i guess ill try other alternatives.

again thanks
