every car looks 100% better after you drop it. i threw on my brand new tociko shocks and suspension tech springs that i brought like 4 years ago for my hatch. i dont rember exactly what the drop was on the springs but i really dident like it so i ended up cutting some coils off. i want to say i cut 2.5 coils off the front. i know i cut 1 off the back cuz i just recently did it.

this is the setup on my hatch, dosent really look droped

even with the cut coils it still drives good. i only get a lil bounce if i got over a big bump, other than that its the most you expect from a dropped car

I like the stock height. Then it can still manage city streets and whatnot. :P For a track car it's sweet though.

it handles good enough for city driving, just gotta watch out for the big bumps, but mostly everything else i can go over with no problem. nothing rubs or scrapes

:) I think we should swap cars, I wish I could cut mine.

ditch the backwards hubcaps, ditch the cut springs and get some Sprint springs

progressive spring rates, not cut ghetto ride.

It LOOKS cool, but despite what you say, a TRUE drop spring will ride better then any cut spring.

it really wasent that hard. i am pretty the "good" ride wont last that long, but if i take it eeasy i should be able to last through the summer. cutting the springs realy wasent that hard. i used a 4.5inch angle grinder

just whoring my pics
this one was the first day i brought my hatch bach from the shop. i want to say it was back in 01. apparently i had the rear suspsion set up on here cuz when i took it off it had the paint over spray on it, but i rember the front being the blown monroe/weapon r coilover setup. when i originall got the car it was about an inch lower than this, but that was on some bouncy ass heated springs

Actually springs don't make hte ride 'bouncy'. Springs are just springs. What makes the ride bouncy are blown struts, or struts that can't handle the spring rate of the current spring.

after getting my coupe i am about 80% sure i am cinverting the front back. since i am putting a built motor into the car i cant have alot of bondo holding it down and the hood was the only part they really bondoed heavy. i am just gonna put in the pop up welded up

i agree, the drop looks better on most cars. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Looks good. Thats about 2.5-3 inches and yes it makes the handling a whole lot better. All you need now is a nice strut bar.

Says who? Most cars actually handle better at stock height. Lowering the car can mess up the geometry and whatnot. It'll also hit hte bumpstops more often, which is very unpredictable for handling. Stiffer springs are another matter, but they also only help if hte car has struts that can control them.

i love the lude conversion. my only real gripe about it was the color lol. But hey, you like what you like, and thats all that really matters. i do miss seeing pics of it tho :)

edit:

agx adj shocks?? wth are u talking about lol. And has anyone found out the spring rates on the matrix springs?? i found spring rates on the CM's, i wonder if the mods ever added that info to the faq...anywho...
