P/S problem.

Well I noticed this when I was doing my suspension stuff. I didn't have the car on but I turned the steering wheel and I saw p/s fluid just coming right out of the top of the resevoir tank. I haven't worked on anything p/s related so I'm confused. So does anyone know what that means?

does your PS works or you removed the belt?
most likely one of the valves got cloged up.

I have the belt on and my p/s works great. I just noticed that it leaks out of the cap. I thought it was too full but it will make it so empty it will be almost dry in the resevoir tank.

Usually it is normal to have a surge of P/S fluid into the reservoir if you turn the wheels with the engine off. My car does this as well and the P/S system is in perfect working order. I believe this happens because the rack pushes fluid through the return line back to the reservoir. Hope this helps.
