Here are some pics of the "Accordian." From what everyone tells me, including, my mechanic who only gets to touch it occasionally when I don't want to, it stopped aging at about three years. I guess I don't care about my plate number in the photos. :)

Gracias, mi amigos. I suppose I can take some engine and interior pics. The interior is spotless. The engine bay is clean, but I am not compulsive enough to mess with hose dressing and such.

Sorry to disappoint, but it's an auto. I may be the only one here who prefers autos to manuals. A properly maintained automatic will far outlast a clutch. I have 248,000 miles on mine. Of course, I have had it since '89. I drive it like a freakin' maniac, but I maintain it. Five speeds are fun, but the stop and go traffic around here would make it hella tiresome. That's about the fourth set of plates on the car since Texas gives you free replacements every five years. I don't know what it is about the car that endears it to me, but it is just so damn competent and has never left me stranded. That's not to say it has never had mechanical issues, but I know it like the back of my hand. I think y'all know what I am talking about.

defenitely one of the cleanest cars out there. Nice work man. Is it all original paint? looks like it, but if its repainted, then its a darn good job.

DBMaster

It's original paint. Waxed four times a year and garage kept.

How did you keep your trim in perfect condition? What kind of wax and such do you use and how much? That is way clean for an 17 yr old car.

DBMaster
03-09-2006, 05:16 PM
Actually, my trim and bumper strips looked like crap a few years ago. I used trim paint and flexible bumper paint (would have used Krylon Fusion on the bumper if I knew about it at the time) I have repainted the side moldings, bumper strips, wiper arms, and whatever you call that wide black vertical trim right behind the front windows. There is just about nothing you can do other than replacing it. There are some products out now from Auto Sport that would have preserved it all had it existed 17 years ago.
