dc hasn't made any for our car in a few years... you can only get them if you happen to find a used one on ebay... or if you find someone else selling used headers

Same for exhaust, FYI. Nobody makes exhaust for these cars except paceshitter.

Why buy a pacesetter exhaust when you can get a way better one custom fit at a muffler shop.

cant i just get a dc sports exhaust and have it custom fit at a shop?

it costs too much... i went to a muffler shop and he told me first to do everything from the CAT back with a staright muffler.... i told him i wanted my whole thing done and he said that hearders will cost to much for a custom fit...400+ bucks

These are/were all the headers you could get for the 3rd gen that I could find.

If I have the money to spare I was thinking of getting a cheap f22 accord header and cut off the flange or use the flange if everything lines up... but most likely cut the flange bend the pipes, reshape the ports weld on new flange and adjust angle on downpipe.

Another couple of issues that might arise are the distance from the oil pan hole to the exhaust ports... and room between from cross beam and engine block.

You don't have to nock on him cause he said it was nice... it does LOOK nice :)
So If I ask for a 97 EX header it will have that flange style right? I'm about to spend some money on a exhaust manifold gasket.

240 sounds like a lot, the shop i go does catbacks with muffler for 130.

true. although with a lot of things, its a direct knock off of a real quality unit, (sometimes made by the same jdm robots even) but a lot of times the finish sucks, crappy welds, etc

I went 2.5 because i'm planning on forced induction:) .I dont think you'll get 10 hp just from a catback, you would if you had other mods first.

Why doesn't someone who has a real dc header not just spec out all the stats i.e. bend angles, primary diameters and the like and publish them on here. That way we can go to a exhaust shop and hand them specs that we know are valid and will work and they can make one for us from there. I'm sure it couldn't be anymore for them to scratch build them then a used $350+ DC header

Most shops in WI will charge you over $800 for a custom exhaust system.

That is a little bit difficult to get the bend measurements... DC said they lost their bend sheet. I think if they had it they would still make them per order.

here is the F22 gasket I put on the A20 head...

is anyone willing or able to do a comparison between pacesetter and DC. Someone with access to a dyno and the time to swap them out. Hopefully theres someone willing to donate headers that they may have lying around or not in use yet on a project car. So we can finally see how much of a difference there is

Luckily for me, I went ahead and did the pipe bending with 2.50" Piping and just welded a silverline pipe. She is load enough for me and has a nice crisp rice burner sound.

I'm looking for any amount of HP gain and 10 to 20 is fine with me. I'm looking to hit 200hp by next year.

Usually not more then 5-7 hp difference. When comparing 4-2-1 with other aftermarket headers.

There are exhaust header dyno comparisons done on other cars.
If you're getting a pacesetter or any header, get it coated so it wont rust... unless you're getting stainless. If you're going to modify the F22 header like I am you may want to get an uncoated header or a stainless... and coat it later after the modification... keep the metal oiled with rust protectant.

u mean possibly 5-7 difference between pacesetter and dc?
