I should have vacuumed the floors, but I think the pics do it justice. As you can see the engine bay is clean, but not spotless.

Yes, I saw that right away and fixed it. You beat me to the punch by about 30 seconds.

Actually, I do have two kids, a 13 year old girl and five year old boy. Since I have had the car for 17 years...

All I can say is that the fabric in this car cleans up easily and I generally don't let them have super messy stuff in the car.

I am 6'2" myself. I guess I just got used to not quite having enough legroom. I really miss the Odyssey my ex-wife kept. Oh, well. As Tony Soprano would say, "Whaddya gonna do?"

LOL! It's not an LED. It's just a plastic cap that I found to plug the hole from the switch I had mounted when I had my garage door remote up inside the dash. For some reason the Verizon FIOS box in my garage reduced the effective range on my garage door remote and I had to put it back on the visor. The black plug to the left of the steering column is where I used to have a key lock ignition cut-off switch mounted. When I had to replace the ignition switch I decided not to cut the wire again to use the switch and removed it.

Looks nice.... dunno about that shifter though. Looks like you are trying to pretend you have a 5spd. :P

I really liked the automatic shifter in my dad's FX35. That was the closest I could get to it. I have no interest in a five speed.

It is an Ichiban brand. I got it for $25 from a guy who called himself Sloaninnovations on eBay. He is no longer a registered user. I saw the same ones at Pep Boys for $50. They come in different colors besides black.

Then why'd you buy a new shifter that looks like a manual one?

wow you took great care of your car man... I wish mine was in that kind of condition... Right now Im just trying to scrape all of the scum out of the interior from the retarded previous owners. 3G interiors are made really really well.

does it have the new car smell too? because it sure looks like it does.

Interesting thing about the interior is that it still does "smell" very clean. I use one of thos ionic air cleaners in there to help keep down the dust.

As far as the shifter goes I was NOT trying to make it look manual. All the newer cars I have driven have shorter shifter shafts and nicer handles than the plain old T-style that came with the car. I was just playing around and trying to "modernize" a bit. I was also pretty pleased with the two-tone leather wheel cover from Wheelskins. The maroon on it matches the dash almost perfectly. I had one of the factory Honda accessory leather wheel covers for years which was very nice, but was just getting to be too worn looking.

WERD! What's more is they AGE really well. Even newer hondas don't have interiors quite as nice as the 3g... it's a fantastic interior. :)
