Well I just finished swapping a new motor and converting to a five speed in my brothers 3gee. When I turn the key to Aux I dont get the PGM-Fi light and the fuel pump dosent purge. Then the car just cranks and there is no start. I changed the ECU to a 5-speed, checked the main relay, checked all the fuses, and did all the wireing needed for the convertion. I would use the search function, but the advanced feature dosent work and there are a million threads with no PGMFI and light in them. Thanks for any help.

the fuel pump doesnt purge? is the fuel pump working? and did you convert from carb to efi?

Well the fuel pump dosent purge, but even if it was not working the PGM-fi light should still click on and try to purge it to my knowledge and no I went EFI auto to EFI 5-speed.

when converted to 5 speed, did you remember to connect two black wires on auto shifter.

Yes I wired that up, but I actually figured out the problem last night. I dident hook up the ground that comes from the injector clips. This means that the relay gets no power untill that is hooked up. It drove me nuts

geez man, 3geez- thanks for posting your problem after a week or two of trying this or that after a engine swap, I have found my starting problem...your same problem the ground wire on the fuel injector rail was hidden and disconnected. Now where exactly does it connect ??? hmmm

lastly I believe, is figuring how to set idle or why when it starts it is up at 3000rpm and starting to climb further.

Thanks again,

Well the bolt connects to the intake manifold on the drivers side. As for the idle, there is either a vaccume leak or your idel screw needs to be adjusted.
