Rethought my dark tinted bumper lights, removed the tint and decided to remove the orange reflector while I was at it (used boiling water and the lens popped right off), and did a LIGHT spray this time. I think the light looks much better now. What rainy days and boredom make me do.

Now about the tails...

Tell me about it!

I went from red/clear to DARK tint and I still don't know what would look best for the tails. If I remove the dark tint on the tails and put on a light smoke tint, I think it would look funny because of the orange. I just might wind up doing a light tint on those red/clears afterall, but then what about that orange in the trunk lights? Arrrrrrgh.

I'm sort of in the same boat; can't decide between dark or clear tails. I think I like contrast better, so a dark color car like yours Paso would look better with clears, while a silver like mine would look better with tinted. I think it brings it out more as opposed to blending in. Would you happen to have pics of your tails when clear, and when tinted? A comparison on the same car would be nice.
Thanks.

Here are the clear/reds I bought off ebay. It may not seem like it because of the daylight and angle of the photo, but the red in the ebay lights is too bright compared to the stock trunk lights.

Here are the stock lights, all tinted in dark smoke:

Arrrgh. Too many variables. For now I'll just keep the dark tint in the back like I have currently.
If you have any other ideas or something you've done, please post pics so we can see what might look better.
Bullard, I've seen what you've done, but it seems awfully complicated. Props for the good work, though.

YOu can find it at wal-mart in the model car section

it will say like "transparent black window tint" on the top of the can.... like $3.18 a can or some crap....

ive been thinking about tinting my tails, bumper lenses, and tinting my corners/grille/eye lids with that stuff, but i dunno... i wanna wait until after i get my car painted to fully decide.

Looks good though paso, i <3 that lip lol

Ask 87accordHB, I bought it from him. He still might have another one or two:

Here's a link for the lens tint spray from ebay. Kind of expensive, but it does seem like tough stuff after 2 months. Hey, it's from Japan.

BTW, although this paint seems very durable, it is very easy to remove with acetone if you don't like the results.....

definatly go with the tint, IMO a dark car should have dark lights where as a medium colours car should have all red lights and a light car have either all red or clear/red lights
