Quick question

OK, well, i'm having huge powerloss issues with my civic.

It only has OK power around the time when vtec engages at 4800 or so rpm.

No CEL, new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.

Only thing out of the ordinary other than the power loss issue, is that when I take off the gas cap, it releases some built up pressure. Sounds kinda like when you open up a soda bottle. No other car i've had does this... could this be related to the problem i'm having?

my accord releases air when i open the gas cap. i wouldent be to worried about the vapor release.

did you gap your plugs?
are the wires in the right order?
did you figure out the ecu problem, is it the right one?

might want to try a compression test

last but not least try changing the fuel filter

hmm... i didn't think about the fuel filters.

I Definatly got the right ecu this time.

I think i'll go do a compression test right now and see how it goes.

plugs are correctly gaped, wires are in the right order, It idles' perfect.
