we all seen my prelude foglight upgrade. i for the idea that i wanted to clear them out. in the process i damaged mother fog lights. they where cheap so its no big deal. i decided to make one black housed to see how it came out. i knida liked it but the glass seemed pretty foggy, i wish it where a lil clearer. anyway, after i was so dissapointed with the sylivina silverstars, i returned them and vowed to buy some h4 conversion lights. my main problem is i hate the diamond cut look lights so i am contiplating making them black housed also along with my turn signal lights. i seen some cheap hid lkits on ebay for about $160 shipped. i was planing on getting two sets, one for the h4 headlights and the other for my fogs.

here is my car with the lude foglights

well...i dont know how much light output you would get out of it. i looks like to me that youre doing this more for looks rather than function. looks good in my opinion but you should have at least kept some of the reflecter unpainted so you can get a bit of light. if not at least paint it with glossy black and try to polish it (o know it will be hard) or get black metallic. its a cool look though

for light to be properly emmited and shine down the road you really need to leave the reflector unpainted. because what is the light going to reflect off of and through the lense? thats the whole point of having a reflector. as for the sliverstars, they are shit in comparision with other bulbs i've found. thats because i bought them and was greatly disappointed when they were compared side by side with cheap regular halogen bulbs that are not tinted or were less blue tinted. are those even fog lights? they look like turn signal combo with a running light in it. i'm pretty sure thats what those are. the spot that didnt have the orange reflector in it is a running light, not a fog light. but i guess you could try and get some H3 bulbs to work in there. but i'd think the housing isnt meant for it and would melt. i had looked at those lights before off a prelude bumper but found they werent fog lights at all. if you are using them as running lights they black housing would be alright because no lights is needed to shine on the road itself

hopefully this can help you out, but if you want the fog light, get the one that is on the inner side of the bumper. i'm not sure where you got those, but if you can go back and get the inner light, thats the fog light and will shine really well.

so then you just wanted the look, not the function? they do fit nice though so otherwise i cant tell.

As an experiment, try painting a flashlights reflector flat black and see how much (close to none) light you get out of it. I don't see the point. To me, this is like making square wheels.

Square wheels would be on a car where the owner didn't care about anything actually performing. A poser, if you will. All show. Zero go.
