Lately, my 89 lx will not idle slow after the car warms up. I've read lots of threads here about high idle and suspect that thermovalve A may not be working right. Coolant and thermostat are good. Idle increases slightly when I spray carb cleaner toward the base of the carb. I've got the carb gasket on order.
Does someone know which part is thermovalve A on Majestic Honda's website? It seems like it should be 11, but I'm not quite sure. Thanks for the help.

yeah #11 is the 3 port thermovalve for the choke puller/fast idle unloader.

Thanks for the help. I'll report back on how it helps.

It helped on my idle problems. Worth the $50 for sure. :)

Thanks for the encouragement Dereck. I just ordered the part($58 with shipping and handling charge) and will replace the carb base gasket too. The pattern I was noticing was high idle when the weather was hot, but last night(cool evening) after getting stuck in stop & go So. Cal. traffic it went high again. I'll report on my findings.

Update. Installed a new Thermovalve A about 1 week ago. The first day it acted up the same as before, revving at about 2000 rpm. Since then it has idled properly even though the outside temps here are now well above 80 F. So perhaps this fixed my fast idle problem. I still have not replaced the carb gasket.

Thanks again for the help.
