New prob

I posted last night about a rattle from the engine and I belive it's the transmission. I bought a filter and fluid but I can't find the pan or the filter. :wtf: do 3 geez even have ATF filters?

The atf filter is in the trans... you'd have to open it up to get to it... what filter did you buy?

No clue I went to O'rilley's and he was like we got it and handded me this square screen filter. Is that right? Will it be a problem to crack open the tranny? Will I need to change any gaskets?

If you are not scrared screwing up the tranny, i say go for it.

I wouldn't change that filter, I disassembled my old tranny for fun, that fucker is imbedded in there pretty far.

try adding some auto trans oil additive.

well in jan when I changed the ATF I did 2 qts and 1 qt of lucas maybe that's not enough ATF?

The car, or the tranny ? If the engine is still good, Do what I did. Go pull a tranny at the J/Y. It's not that hard.
