So I spun out (long read but with pics)

I had a accident while going home from school on Wednesday morning at

2:30 AM. When I go home I take the 110 south freeway and as some of u

know there are a lot of sharp turns on it. And to make things worse that

night it had rained and the roads were wet. Ok so I was driving home and I was at

one of the biggest turns that the 110 has and I got a flat tire on the front

driver side since the wheels were facing right the car started to spin out to

the right side and I spun out of control. I ended up doing a 360 turn in the

middle of the freeway. When I did the 360 I hit a curb and them I bounce

back and flew about 30 feet more. After the car stop moving I got out and

looked at the car to see if there was any body damage done to the car and

luckily there wasn’t the only thing I saw was that both front tires were flat

and both front rims were bent and the driver side wheel was bent in but

them I realized that I was in the middle of the freeway and I ran towards

the freeway exit like a little girl, the good thing that the car stop in the

first lane where u merge into the freeway so it was just a few feet from the

freeway entrance. I was also lucky that because of the time I was driving

there weren’t that many car passing by so no one hit my car. So then I call

my friends from school to get to where I was and they came, while the were

on there way I was trying to call this # that the city has for non emergency

calls but cingular doesn’t let u dial that #, so I was waiting there for a cop

to pass by and I think someone got a hold of them and called because 2

highway patrol units, at that same time my friends got there too, the first

thing that the highway patrol asked me when the came was to see my

drivers license and I give it to him and he started to act really rude like if I

had done something wrong. So he tell me if the car starts and I told him

that I didn’t know so he go in my car and try’s to start it up and it didn’t start,

the battery got really weak.

So while the other highway patrol was stopping traffic the officer who asked

me for my license got in my car and his partner started to push my car the

first thing he did was to straighten the car so it could face the entrance so

what he did was push it from he drivers side fender then when the car was

straight he pushed it out, while that was going on I really wasn’t paying

attention I was in a state of shock so they took it out of the freeway and

the get the registration of the car and they asked me if I wanted a tow
truck

and I told them that I was going to get one myself and they were telling me

that I had to get a tow truck and that the car couldn’t stay here the whole

night because it was blocking traffic and the alarm was going off and they

also asked me if I wanted to do a report but the said since I didn’t hit
anyone that I really didn’t need to so I didn’t . after that they left and I go

and look at my car and I see that the front fender was pushed in and the corner light

was broken, I go to the back and see the paint was scratched and the

passenger side was pushed in a little bit. My friends and I were thinking were

we can get a cheep tow truck and about 5 min go by and on the other side

this lady lost control and she spun out and she hit the center divider, when

she hit the center divider the car jumped up and she blew her driver side

tires, so I call 911 and I tell them what happen well I also asked the lady on

the phone if I can get a report done for my car too so I could get the # of

the cops who bang up my car and to get me a tow truck. So a few min go

by and the cops came back but it was only the cop who stop traffic the cop

who fucked up my car didn’t but I still got the # of the cop car in the roof. I

also ask them for a tow truck and they said ok and they left, and this time

that they came by they were really nice not like the first time they

came ok so the tow turk came and he wants 160 to take it home

and i didnt have that type of money so he tells me that there is gas station

just a few blocks away and ask if the knew anyone who had a tow truck and

i did i asked and the called this guy who charged me 80 bucks to take it to

my house

so know im going to see if i can get the highway patrol to pay for what they did. i know that they came out to help me out but they should has just put up flares and diverted traffic, anyone has any tips that i could use?

You may want to speak to solicitor or legal advice service for what you can do.

Jesus man. Those mini rims are a curse! Take em off, lol.. And if you have witnesses saying the cops did the damage when they were pushing your car out of the way, then i'm almost certain you can get the police or the department or even the city to pay for the damages they caused.

I mean... You have 2 witnesses saying that they saw the cops damage it. I doubt the court would rule against you if they didnt want to pay up.

Ouch!! Man...this sucks. My Laurel Blue buddies car is busted. Judging by the angle of the left side wheel, it looks like you have suspension damage also. The damage doesnt look too bad though. Just a corner light, a fender, some rims, and a touch up paint and it'll be like new! Just think of it as a good thing. Now you have a reason to get JDM corners! :deal: haha j/k. you should go to court beacuse u have the witnesses see if you can get the cop to say that he did it(i doubt it)....last time my car overheated on the freeway exit and there was a big back up...i hate ppl who think that im poor...this one beatch was like get in the car and lets go buy some gas...then i was like WTF its overheating and then she just left...i was like wtf just cuz im hispanic dont mean i dont fill up my car.... then some guys got out of a car and helped me push it to the side

dude that completly sucks nuts man! although i just talked to abe and he said he had to replace the lower control arm and some other suspension parts to get it fixed. so far he says the car runs and that he fixed a rim already. i offered my old rims for now for 25 bucks and a hook up for a paint job for 600 and my hands at a jy lol. so hopefully he'll get this fixed. if he asks...ill help

and i have an update on how the car look like right now. ex1z7 the cops did push the car with their car, they pushed it from the fender to make the car face toward a freeway entrance and then the pushed the car from the back to make it go forward.


OK here are the pics i have right now I'm hoping that with and alignment the car is going to be back to normal. i had to replace the lower control arm and some other suspension parts, i also found out that when one of the bars bent it bent toward the oil pan and it made a slash on it so i have to get a new one, also the car is having a short circuit so i have to take to an electrician, but i cant take it until i get a new oil pan and ill do that when the weather gets better

I'm glad you are ok,the car can be fixed,now it's really busted blue,I would find yourself a doner car at the junkyard and swap out that entire suspension,there is no telling what is damaged. it's pretty much bolt up new stuff,are you sure you didn't fall asleep coming home from school? I know you are carrying a heavy load. that could have been really bad if you had hit the curb and flipped over. what is shorting out electrically? is there a particular fuse blowing? let me know and i'll try to help you figure it out. at least know we know your guardian angel has a turbo!!:cheers:

I dont want to put too much fuel into the discussion but if the wing was hit during the spin, there must be scratch mark on the wing as well as bumper. Or may be you hit something soft like rabbit or coara there but I dont see any blood either.

I been the same way since the B16 coupe. The CRX..was older, and not a B series(it was faster) and this hatch...has a non VTEC SOHC. I'll compare the shortcomings of each car until I either make one better, or get a whole other type of car.

Man It's a Shame to see the 3g get banged up, but at least the damage was isolated and it's still on the road. My 88 LX wasn't as fortunate, Don't know if you remember but it made love to a fire Hydrant instead of a Suburban with a family in it (pulled out in front of Me). I really missed that car, Had a lot of wrench turning time on it with motor swaps and such. But its all good now, I have since moved on in life with an 89 LXi coupe and an 07' Si Civic that isnt even made yet. Yay.....

I'm really trying to get the car to where it was when i got it. i was fortunate that nothing really major happen to the body frame so its not going to be to hard. A member "messy" from San Fransisco was able to find a good fender whit the same color code so i cant wait to put that on. for the hood I'm going to try the dent king and see how that works out.
