I was browsing a friend's album of pics from Fort Washington, PA's SEMA show last weekend and saw what I think is a third gen hatch:

That IS what it is, right?

Nope- Toyota AE86. They look close, but the front bumper and corner lights give it away, also, if you look close, it appears that there is a toyota emblem in the center above the front bumper.

Thats a Corolla AE86. AKA the most overrated old POS ever.

Somone would easily get 20K for that car. Probably get 5K for a stock rusted up one with a blown engine.

yes, it is RWD

around here, an AE86 isn't worth that much. usually they go for around $2000 for a nice one.

Ahh yea, i totally missed the "Toyota" in the grill. Damn, and here I thought it was a sweet 3G hatch was getting some nice show time. Ah well.

Funny, I should've remembered about the AE86 cuz I took a Grand Theft Auto AE86 model and reskinned it to emulate my old 3G hatch, heh.

i could tell coz of the bumper light and the pop-up light is more horizontal than a 3gee and the mirrors, but hey, you could prolly just slap on a 3gee front end on 2 a trueno and say u converted ur 3gee 2 rwd

wonder if one would fit.....they sure do look close in size and shape.... I bet you could get one to work, with maybe a little modification.

i believe they are a good bit more narrow than our cars. you have to remember they are different car classes.

accord = midsize

corolla = small

True, but remember that the Tercel was Toyota's small car back then. The Tercel was about the same size as a Civic, maybe a little bit smaller. The AE86 chassis is smaller than an Accord, but not by much. The Camry was the real mid-size vehicle, until they decided to make them real big.
