2g's are years 82-85 so it should fit.

the hatch lid changed from 83 to 84, with a more pronounced "lip" being added.

It'd be a nice spoiler if it didn't have the wrap-arounds. Like if it curved into the hatch column instead. kinda like this:

I suppose someone whos good at body work could do it.

Pretty sweet car man. It would look absolutely tits dropped a couple inches. We're working on figuring out a suspension setup for our cars.

What did you use to tint those sidemarkers? Is that the VHT Nightshadez with a clearcoat or something? They look good.

Nice hatch:thumbup:.
I'd like to have an 84/85 hatch with the sedan front facia. Dont care for the slant nose too much.
The car looks awsome though, kudo's to you.

the suspension is gonna get taken care of once i get the engine swap taken care of. but as for the blacked out lights, yes it is the vht window tint spray. 3 coats worked pretty well.
it looks a lot better now compared to beforehttp://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d197/moneyg2007/l_29f76bfa4115333c8180d17e6abfb3e1.jpg
the spoiler was actually made for a 2g accord. bought it off ebay from a guy in tennessee(sp?) and just ordered a vesatec front bumper for it through classicgarage.com

and does anyone know if an 86 accord hatch sideskirts would fit on my car with a little work and custom fabrication?

Definitely an improvement! Something I need to look into doing as well. Didn't know they did window tint spray.

As far as those sideskirts go, I kinda wanna say it will be a tough fit. I don't think the 3rd gen has quite so much curve in the rocker panels. Shortening I would guess would be what you've gotta do if the curve does match up... You'd be the first here to do it.

What engine swap are you planning? Built A20 or something a little more modern?

um im going with something a bit more modern. a b16a1 turbo 5 speed with LSD and a wire tuck. and i believe a custom fabricated front transaxle from an integra. and both front and rear shocks and springs will be adjustable.

Let us know how that all goes. I'm very interested to see what you decide to go with for suspension. New fresh ideas are always great.

First, I realize this post is kinda stale, but I just saw it and I think it's worth revisiting. Second, I like the ride. Third, this might be a dumb question but do you stray the vht inside or out? As far as the sideskirts are concerned, I have them. I think I might be the last person to buy the vestatec sideskirts from classic car garage. Anyway, I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. To call them custom would be be a stretch, literally and figuratively. I needed three clamps per side just to keep them where I wanted them to drill into the quarters, and even then the instructions for drilling in to the rocker panels didn't make sense. Bottom line, R.I.P. vestatec sideskirts, we hardly knew thee, thankfully for the rest of you. My advice, if any of you want to go that route, is to find a pair from some other model that you like and modify them. A little cutting and fiberglass and you'll not only get what you want, but will have an easier time than I did. I have pics in the garage.

Apparently classicgarage still has those wings in stock for about $40 dollars now, I placed an order for one and we shall see how it goes. I'll update! Old thread but still some sexy cars and good inspiration.

Will this bolt up to my 83 SEdan???!!!

2ndGenGuy
04-17-2012, 06:33 PM
Probably not "bolt up" no, you have completely different bumpers. But it's probably stupid easy to just fabricate some brackets. I don't think it would look that great on your car though. The rears and sideskirts are impossible to find, if you can find them at all.

Right on. I'm also curious, sorry for jacking the thread btwbut is there anywhere I can find some compatible frontand passenger seat replacements for my 83 sedan. I hate seat covers and definately can't afford leather reapolstery.. I see plenty of leatherseqts from BMW ect. In junkyards and I'm alwaystempted to buy one and try it out. Thanks guys!
