i was looking around ebay trying to find a high flow cat for our cars, i didnt find any that i really liked, but there seemed to be a lot more that i liked for other cars. my question is can we use a cat for something like a 4g accord, or integra or some other car???

im going to get my exhaust done and i already have a Magnaflow muffler so i want to stick with a high flow cat. i went on ebay and i saw that the Magnaflow has a direct replacementwith out cuting or welding.

well the pipe diamter and actual cat inside diameter can vary. I woud stick with a 2.25" pipe diamter, and find a cat diameter that flows well. Unless you are running a bigger exhaust pipe.

Remember that our cat has an offset inlet and outlet so no cat will really bolt up that has a center in and out uless you mess with the exhaust pipes, or the cat is long enough so that you can just make use of the flex pipe to adjust the alignment.

I have the one off ebay, the test pipe one. It bolted right up with no problem and came with nice gaskets and new bolts, washers and nuts.

is that a stock camara/firebird car or a high flow one, and any year for that will work right?

What he has is universal.

If you want to go the universal route then you'll need to weld your pipes to the cat.

Some come with a flange on one end and a pipe on the other.

^^^
And it's a high-flow from Summit.

how much performance will you see by replacing the exhaust and headers?

header, exhaust, and high flow cat/test pipe should help you out a lot there, match that with a cam and you will see even bigger improvements.

It all depends on what grind cam you get, what header you have (DC or Pacesetter), what cat you have, what size exhaust pipe and type of muffler, and if you have a CAI. Everything is a factor and depending on what you have it will vairy.

yeah that sounds about right. you can free up some hidden hp by geting a high flow air filter, upgraded exhaust with high flow cat. and it depends on how good the engine is...like mine has like 50k on it and i have good compression. also take out the crap you have on your car...i saved like 80 pounds on crap
