i happened to have my camera on me for the big event.. yeah,i know,kinda dorky!
im new to the whole honda/4cylinder/japanese car thing. but for the $$ i paid ($500 with 87k on the clock) i couldnt lose on this one.
whats the life expectancy on these cars?
what are your odometers reading?

i hit 100k like back on 98 now im at 156k but it already has another motor that i blew the headgasket...i just drive that car to hell....when gas was cheap(2 bucks a gal) i would rev it to red line most of the time now i try not to pass 4k on the tach

Life expectancy depends on maintenance & the person driving. I seen them reach over 400,000 miles.

Edit- I personally just hit 200,000 miles on the odometer tonight.. but only 500 or so miles on a rebuilt motor.

does any one knoe the highest mileage 3gee? my uncle got a 93 mazda with 421k miles on it and it only needed a timing belt and the dude sold it for 300 bucks. he said he had a girl friend in LA...like a 800 mile round trip.

i think the highest mileage accors is over 1 million k, i have about 285k and still running hella strong!!! :rockon:

my old motor had about 275 on in before i ditched it. but it was still happy i think. just needed rings and clutch. :D

hmm, im not sure about the 3g accord but i have a 160k mile 5g and my dad had a 210k mile 4g wagon, i have 2 friends that have 4 sedans and both have 320k miles, and a friend that has 268k on his 4g wagon. One of my friends with the 320k mile 4g also just bought a 98 Integra GSR with 271k on it.

Eh, I'm runnin' at about 270,XXX No smoke (no burning oil) Leaks a little coolant...haven't looked yet, might be water pump. Mine's auto though. :( Still runs strong with great fuel mileage. I hope to hit 300k. That might take awhile because work is only 13 miles away. haha.
