All 4 run about 100psi(as to 170-180), how much power do you think i'm losing due to this?

I also read another post on the board that advancing the timing by 1-2 teeth might correct this but not idle as good(may have read that wrong:slap:).

I do sorta have an extra engine that I have been picking at (a20a2 converted to efi) going to wait till mine breaks before I put it in.

I would get/do a rebuild or swap.

hehe, well i did it anyway just to see what would happen, and advanced it 1 tooth. brought it up to 150 psi on all 4, took it for a run and was impressed till i tried to run it over 5500rpm where it because to do nothing (almost like a governer. it was fun anyway to see what would happen lol. i will get to the engine soon, just gota find more time lol.

2 teeth is more then some adjuatable cam gears more... so I'm glad you just went with one tooth.

I agree with a rebuild &/or swap. 100 p.s.i. is way to low on a compression check.

Edit- Nevermind on vacuum, wasn't thinking.

if i disconnected the advance on teh dizzy, would that correct the problem?
or wait, maybe not because when your wot, there is no vac so its advanced anyway. what if i disconnect it and retard/adv manually?

Well if you do it manually it wont make a difference during the powerband, it will only advance it MORE when its idling to help keep it running smoother at lower RPMS. You dont want high advance for top end power.
