Bad News: Car Is Dead

Ok now that I have your attention my car got into a coma On April 23, 2006. The alternator died and I was stuck on Steeles and Don mills and it was raining hard, for you Ontarians you know how crazy steeles is, anyways i got some friends to help me bring it to my uncles house and he said the alternator was bad and wasnt charging and so ya im searching the site for ways to change the alternator easily, anyone know any tricks or well what do you guys think i honestly dont know what to ask?
