Well i cleaned up, waxed, and buffed my car the other day... looks damn clean in person and the metallic flake really stands out. Also cleaned out the moisture from the passenger headlight, and making plans to test fit a 96-98 headlight set. I dont think the guy i bought it from did the FULL conversion. Just bumper/headlights, and not fenders/hood. I believe this because of the gaps left, but we will see as soon as i get Deadhead (another Co member here) down here to borrow his headlights lol
Anyways, here are the pics, comments/feedback welcome!

Some came out dark, but if they are a little darker its probably because i liked the look or something else about the pic. I really liked the clouds in the one where all you can really see are the headlights.
Anyways, comments/feedback appriciated.

step by step

preheat oven to 200*
remove light
put light on cookie sheet in oven for 3 min
take light out of oven
pull off plastic cover
clean
run a silicone bead around the HOUSING (not lense) of the light
push the housing/lense back together
be sure you dont get silicone on the lense

looks, good, man. looks like it really wasn't that bad of a deal for only $7500 considering all that's in it. and does the engine being tilted crazily back like that do anything to it's performance or cause oiling problems or premature wear or whatever? or is that how it leans in the 'lude too?

thats how all h's lean lol

k's lean way forward (or backwards if you mount them like every other honda engine) too

the easiest way to start doing that is to turn off your flash on your camera and place it on a tri-pod. make sure you dont move it of course. then mess around with the settings of your camera like your apature, wht balance, shutter speed etc etc.

its not as hard as it seems. sometimes mistakes come out to be beutiful works of art man! :D

Wow. I love that color, and i love how shiny it is. You did a good job cleaning that sucker up. That's truly an awesome civic. Too bad you live in the middle of nowhere, lol. (Or so it seems?)

naw, i live in a suburb of Denver (about 25 miles north), my towns population is about 14k people... so not HUGE, but not podunk

thanks for the comments

like mykmonkey said, i set it up on a tripod and adjust apature/shutter speed until im satisfied with the outcome, i usually take 3-4 pics before i get one i really like. Then only resize the one good one.

I usually try to setup my car to where the sun (or larger amount of light) is going to be hitting the car in the angle i want, and play off of that, it usually works well for me.

New wheels this summer :D... rota j-mags 15x7, silver... gonna be HAWT!

you bastard... i'm jealous :P

my civic will be fast one day.... one day...

my plans as of now are to build the motor over the summer, then twin turbo it with a 13b from a mitsu, and a hopefully a T70.... should be fun, but goodbye 33 mpg.

The paint seems a wee bit better then the accord...

NICE man, I finally get to see what you two were talking about. Looks sweet!

I haven't been to the board in a while, did you ever upload those pics with my car in them?

You dont wanna go 96-98. Just go to h-t and look at the 96-98 VS 99-00 threads.

actually i preferr the 96-98 bumper over the 99-00, especially with foglights. It just looks more appealing to me.

Thanks for the comments, im torn between a couple sets of new rims right now. Not really sure what route i want to go right now.

Either 15x7 Rota J-Mags or 15x7 Rota Circuit 8's, Gunmetal with a Polished lip... maybe 16x7 Circuit 8's?

Go with 16 inch rims whatever ya do... 16 is the best combination of looks and performance. Looks hella sweet tho man! congrats on a clean civic.

Yea but the roads around here are bumpy as hell with pot holes, uneven asphalt/pavement changes, and TONS of cracks in the road. So 16's with low pros ride rough. I was thinkin 15's with a little more sidewall would ride better for Dialy Driving. Plus i could get A.) BETTER performance tires, B.) BETTER all season tires for CHEAPER or C.) Just flat out CHEAPER prices on all tires over 16's

Yeh 15 inch tires are so much cheaper for some odd reason, even 17 inch tires are almost always cheaper than 16's. But I do love my 16's on my accord.
