Absolute eBay madness!!!

3 days ago on ebaymotors I looked up parts for the 86-89 Honda Accord and there were 3180 parts; however, today I looked up parts and there are only 585. That is including the cars for sale.

Has the bottom finally fallen out of the 3g aftermarket or am I losing my mind???

maybe you type in something wrong...i just check and i got 525 items 524 when i refreshed it. some of the stuff i get are universal like muffler and stuff

I never get results even close to 500, let alone 3180 .. usually around 150.

keywords '86-89 Honda Accord' on ebay motors.com rendered 137 items. 50% are stupid headlights and cheap catalytic converters. Ebay.ca rendered 80 items. Change keyword to '89 Accord' I got 194 items, aside from the headlights still, atleast there's a few decent items in this search. I dunno

mostly the generic trash on ebm is stuff that doesnt REALLY apply to a 86-89 accord... like mufflers or graphics or shit like that.

ive always had around 500 results when searching ebm, so i dont know what magic u typed to get THAT many... but it doesnt sound right to me... checking tonight i had 574 items which is just about right

What search strings do you guys use on ebay? I've been using this one:
(86, 87, 88, 89, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 86-89, 1986-1989) accord
and I got 622 items
and today also added on: -HID -light -headlights -alarm
and that reduced it to 556 items
Did that to get rid of some of the extras.
Anyway, what do you guys use? I would imagine my string is too long and may not really be needed. Better results anyone? More accurate results?

um......go to www.ebaymotors.com and use the little helper under Parts & Accessories on the front page. Put in 1986 through 1989 and for model put in Accord, then hit search. A few days ago I was getting thousands of hits.

I'm not sure what the deal is with that. Mostly towards the 7 & 8th page, it is "buy it now" prices. Sometimes the "stores" that the parts are in don't allways pop up.

max i tired your way and i got 660 and i tried it my way and i got 607...i got to ebay motors then click on parts and accesories then on car and truck parts and then put in accord and 86 to 89 and i got 53 less items.
