I currently have an 89 accord that is about to bit the dust i have found an 87 civic si that i am most likely going to buy, i have owned an 86 si so my question isnt if it is a good car. my question is do any of you know any kind of performance upgrades for it I wasnt into upgrades whan i had my first si so i dont really know what is out their thanks

lol, what CAN'T you do to a civic as far as performance. Civics have the highest aftermarket support of any car i've ever seen. you could turbo the little D it's got, motor swap it with B, H, or K series motors, or just build the D with a cam/i/h/e and some other stuff. your options are limitless with that car.

if memory serves correctly the motor in the 85 to 87 si was EW4 not a d series thats why i was asking but i could be wrong

id stay with the 3g it looks better the civi's look a little to square

i like the civics ive been looking for a decent one since my girl broke my last one plus it has A/C something ive never had before and now i need it living in Arizona and its a 3rd gen

nothin like AC after you've been without for a while.
But like deadhead said, civics can always be tweaked

then dont get it. the B and D are like the most popular for Ricers...but some keep it real.

if wanted to go with whats popular id buy a 92-95 civic i was just wondering if you guys knew anywhere i could go to find parts and im not looking to rice it out just give it a lil more go

i have an 87 civic. bought it for $300 last year, and havnt had to put anything into it. mine is the 1.3 liter...but they have the 1.5 si as well. there isnt much (anything that i can find) for support for it...but there is a site - http://www.redpepperracing.com, and it deals with the 3g civic/crx. great site...check it out.

hmm... i was thinking of the 4th gen civics.... my bad.

i really don't know much about the 3rd gens...sooo... turbo that 3rd gen civic :D
