Well I recently aquired a 81 Accord with the 1.8 in it. Me and 2ndGenGuy are doin some work on it. This is the first Honda that I have ever owned. So I was wondering where all you first gen guys go for parts. Other than the 3GEEZ forums what do you have for resources? I have been looking around for info but most of it relates to the later models. What is out there for perofrmance parts. Thanks in advance for your help and linkage!

if i was you i would check ebay..they always have some neat stuff for our cars...but if you want performance you would have to take it to a shop and they would have to make custom parts for it.

My back yard!....

...well, no, not really, though i am thinking of parting my 1gen. But I know of wrecking yards that are full of all the 1602 and 5 speed stuff that you're looking for!

Congrats on getting Honda Accord and good luck with your project!
I am not a 1st gen owner but recently I helped my friend to find some parts for his 1st gen restoration.

http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/
I have contacted them and they have some 1st gen parts that are not available from other dealership in both Japan, UK and US.

This is 1st gen civic site but it has Accord thread.

http://thisoldhonda.org/links.php
It has some 1st gen Accord owners link.
In classified section, you can post some WTB ad.
I had some good response.

In my friend's case, the best source for parts was a good rust free low milage parts donor car - it may sound silly but in fact, now many parts are discontinued so if you have a chance, you should get one and strip it into parts - just my 2 cents.

For 1st gen performance parts, geez, have little idea.
If you are millionellar or have Japanese connection, go to MotorLifeSystems in Osaka, Japan. http://www.mls12.com/mokuzi/mokuzi.htm
They are specialised in Honda sports modification old and new and can make everything for you.
Brake pad, slotted disk, shock, spring, coilover, big throttle, cam, piston, e/g O/H, porting, body reinforcement etc etc.
But they are very pricy.

In general, brake pad/shoe can be re-produced so if you have original back plate in good condition, friction material can be re-attached by manufacturer.
Stainless mesh brake hose can be ordered to make one for you as far as I know.
Shocks, no idea but I didn't see 1st gen in KONI's catalogue last time so I assume it is discontinued.
I have heard Bilstein can take any shell case (incl. OE) and make up Bilstein shocks for your spec but might be expensive.
I assume sports cam can be reground at most of reputable cam shop.
Illidium plug, can be purchased off the shelf.

Sorry for patchy info.
Good luck.
