View Full Version : How do i know the correct orientation for the upper strut mount?

you know the big rubber part that fits on top of the strut with the 3 holes for the bolts
im just looking into suspension problems and read that theres a certain way it should be put on, but i cant find any arrows or anything on the mount

As far as I can recall, there's no special way to put it on. I know I didn't line anything up when I put them on.

Should just bolt on, all you have to do is line up the holes.

It actually is the end of the spring coil that is supposed to line up a certain way when it is assembled onto the strut. Maybe someone who has a shop manual handy can elaborate.

oh well the spring is on correctly i know that, i just kept reading to "mark the position of the strut mount in relation to the strut to make sure it lines up correctly"
and since i never did that when i put on my tokicos and new springs, i figured maybe thats the problem im now having
