Wow I never seen one that looks this nice. It kind of threw me off a bit. I think Hondaman has a friend that has one.

initial D sales tax always come with. i remember when my uncle was into those cars in the mid 90's, you can get one that looks like that for 3-4k, now a days that one will be worth about 8 or 9. no joke and a real enthuiast would pay that much. but then again it's just the supply and demand aspect, since the game came out, demand increase, supply low, price increase, that's just simple economics.

From 80's to 90's this car AE86 dominated the motor sports scene in Japan. Gymkhana (=autocross on termac), Rally and drift party at the weekend whereever you go there is AE86 but except motorways.

I didn't like it cos the car is too good so you dont have a chance to win the battle. '4AG' DOHC 1.6L 16valve engine has been fully supported by TRD(Toyota Racing Development) and hell of lot of tuning shop/company in Japan. The engine was so popular this engine was also used in the next FF model AE92 in side way(!). Damn good car. I hated it.

Its not "hatchi" because it is a hatch, its "hachi"

hachi = 8

roku = 6

not sure why its hachi roku and not hachi juu roku
I don't know Japanese that well, maybe it has to do with it being an abbreviated year, or more like a symbol/name then an actual number.

yeh thats a sprinter treuno, here in Australia if you own one every1 loves you, made from 81-84 i think and yeh most people put 4age/4agze (supercharged) engines in them and made them drift beasts, but alot more common is the levin that is basicly the same but had the fixed headlight front, usualy pay upwards of 15,000 for a treuno here and about 2000-4000 for a levin

usdm made from 1984-1987, the hatches stoped in 85 i think, coupes only after that. the preferred swap would be a 4age-20V inplace of the 16v, more power and higher rever.

its a toyota..if u redline it for over 5 minuites the engine will catch fire and it will burn the car out...irs been proven by me:)

Ehm, I think most cars will do that if you redline them that long.

It's definitely used in japan.
It's probably because it's slang and thus doesn't use the formal tense that most Americans are used to.
It's probably true that Americans use that term more than Japanese do, though.

Y'know the AE-86 is a very well ballanced car with nice lines with RWD and depending on witch one you get LSD. Plus its a true drivers car to have some fun in.
BUT nothing Beats an Accord hatch.:)

a buddy of mine just got one of the hatches like that with the pop ups. guess he's going to try and make it look like the Initial D corolla. he's the one that had the 240Z that made it into super street magazine. he's had a bunch of differnt hb's, so i can only imagine how cool this one is going to be. i havent really gotten to check it out yet.
