Let's clarify for a sec.
You start the car
You release the parking brake
You press the brake pedal once
And then lights come on on the dashboard.

Did I get that right? And do all the lights come on or is it just the brake lights?

Sounds like your emergency release switch is broken or doesn't want to turn off.
check that.

I know this may be something that has already been checked but, when the light for the brake lights comes on in the picture of the car that means there is a brake light out.

If all your brake lights are good then you guys may want to check and see if he White/green wire running from the left brake light sensor to the safety indicator in the dash is grounded. If its not then check the grounds from the failure sensors. If their receiving ground then your failure sensors are probably bad.

On my 87 LX, when this happens, it may be a wrong brake bulb installed, a connection to the failure sensor,(a little black plastic box under the taillites and also the rear window lite) or a bad sensor itself. I think the fact that it doesn't come on until you hit the brake eliminates the low fluid sensor, which is on the same circuit, and points to the bulb , sensor, or connectionto the sensor. Good luck.

see mine was always on and it buged the crap out of me. so one day i checked all the lights. they still worked when i pushed the brake but they would not turn on when i turned on the headlights...it came out to be a bad fuse...i checked it and replaced it...later that week it poped it again....i was mad so i ran a wire from the turn signal to the wire direct...i think my fuse box was creating a ground and poping my fuse.

does that mean i need more blinker fluide or brake flude lol but ya the brake flude sensor is on the brake lamp sensor as well thats kind of odd

it was the left side tail light... now it does not come on since i put a wire from the switch to the line with out a fuse...seems to work fine...i remember it was a 10amp fuse and then i put in a 15 but it poped it...so had to rewire it.

Ok as I understand I've to check wires to failure sensor and sensor too.
Thanks
