I found online a offer for the 3gee H & R springs for the 86-89 accord!
problem though; I mentioned this to a BMW mechanic- he mentioned to use bilstein dampers, my question is where could I find them and will they work???

The springs are a good match to the car. Bilsteins will not work very well with them unless you get them revalved--at least the front. Take a few minutes to read the information in the sticky threads.

a small price to pay for a decent set of dampers in the real world. :D and just think, they are actually matched to your springs! :D u will love them.

stock bilsteins are not much better than stock though, so don't bother unless you plan on spending the cash to get them revalved. if ur too broke to revalve, the tokico shocks are 'tolerable' with h&r springs, but it feels better with better shocks. :)
