I don't know if anybody out there has tryed this yet.

Put a lxi exshaust manifold on a carbed engine, and flex pipe.

I can see its flow is more fine tuned.

Could be done as cheap as it can get>>>BONEYARD!!
Might pick up a few horses.

I think the LX-i's manifold is larger... but I'd rather get pacesetter over a stock manifold.

I dont think it will work right because the carb has a line in the exhaust manifold that goes to the carb so it doesnt freeze in the winter, but I guess if your not in a cold place its worth it.

The coolant manifold heater should be enough to heat the carb and manifold.

The EGR actually cools the engine, and some how reduces emissions... and the preheater hose that connects to the carbed heat sheild could be rigged back up the the lxi's manifold with a little work

were is the coolant manifold heater?

and why would i need a flex pipe from the lxi also? couldnt i just use mine i got now?

the heater is on the intake manifold... it runns off the water pump pipe on the driverside of the car thru the manifold and then to the passenger side and connects either back to the water pump or to the block... I'm not too sure right not... I'd have to go outside and look.

yea but is the egr connection in the same place and the same size?? I dunno, I thought about it but I'd rather just pay like $130 for a pacesetter.

so how much horsepower will i gain from this? will i gain low end?

well its obvious that the lxi has one hole (for the egr alone) and two holes for the oxygen sensors.

BUt your carb has two holes for the egr and the air suction and just one hole for the oxygen sensor, so remind me, how are you planning to do this??

im gonna plug some of the shit, and put a dummie o2 sensor in
