OK my tranny ain't gone. Niether am I at that. I drove my car in D3 and 2 and it ran just fine. But When I drive in D4 it makes a very horrid gringing sound when slowing down after 2nd gear.

How does it start off? Seems like switching between 1st and 2nd gears are rough. When was the last time the fluid was changed and the tranny filter was cleaned?

Phew... I'm glad this wasn't about how to tell the types of hookers apart...

There really isn't an effective way of cleaning the internal SCREEN short of removing and disassembling the transmission. And at that point, you better just rebuild it.

yeah I was told today that it'll be 2Gs in order to rebuild cause D4 (what they called overdrive) is stripped

Edit - So now I'm gonna sell her

It would probably be cheaper to find a used one from a JY, and you could always put in a 5spd, thats what I plan to do when mine craps out.
