Hi, I fight vibrations on my EX-i and I cannot win - there are two types:
First: shaking the whole car (not the steering wheel) while driving 100 - 130kmh ( 60-80mph) - at any gear or neutral - me and my mechanic tried to control everything and fix every clearance on the axles, silentblocks on the engine etc. . Only what seems to be posibble is that the long axleshaft gets into rezonation in some specific range of revs of the wheel and starts shaking the car. IT HAS TO BE A COMMON TYPICAL PROBLEM, because my 89 EX-i has it, my 88 2.0i-16 has it, my friends 88 EX has it, and even my other friends 88 Prelude has it !!! Please help!
Second: shaking the steering wheel while braking: Brake disc fresh machined, wheels fresh balanced, no clearances at the axle - only what is wrong, I have a bit of clearance in the steering ( rack and pinion) can this be a problem ? While braking, the wheels have simply a chance to change fast the direction and "shake" ? thanks for advice....

you might need to change your bushings and motor mount ones in particular
