i've been wanting real projector headlights for a long time. i have the fake projector H4 conversions, but those really dont cut it. i just so happened to find some projector assemblies i can use today at the junk yard. anyway, here they are. they are from a dodge stealth and need a good cleaning. they should be nice when i start on them. also, i plan to make them fixed, not pop ups. i will be making some lenses for it the same shape as the pop up lid.

wut!! you better show some pics on that. that is something i wanted to see for a while. then possibly a how to hehe but damn you should use those first to try it out and then look for aftermarket projecters that look hot

i just want a simple effective setup. i will probably go with hid's sometime after i get this together. now i start to clean these up. i dont think i will get any fancy chrome ones or anything like that, i'll most likely stick with these. my friend's 3000GT had these and they shined very nice on the road and would work even better with a bright hid setup.

here's some comparisons side by side for size and how they will be placed.

well, i've got them to fit into the braket that the pop up bolts to. only thing is mounting them properly. i'm still working on what will work best and be most compact but easy to put in. after i get this first one done it should be a breeze, i'm hoping. also i still need to get some bulbs and sockets which should be the easiest part of this.

well i've been trying to think up ways that are easiest to get the projectors set in the bracket sturdily and most level. i've put some angle iron on in three spots at the same level. i will then probably attach something like a piece of plexiglass that i have here. anyway, you can see what i've done in the pix.

yeah, i think the major problem may end up being getting them to aim level. but i will think up something to over come that. i think i will be working on the headlights just a bit each day and actually get this project done. i've pretty much decided they will show the chrome ring but have a black interior housing. just clean and, yeah clean. nothing too fancy for me. i still need to buy a bit more hardware to attach things to the braket since i dont have too many short stubby screws to save space.

yeah, the front on the fixed headlight 3rd gen isnt as appealing, IMO, as the flip ups. but these should be quite something else.

ahh ues i agree witchu, i would rather fixed projectors like yours rather than oem fixed headlight, just the shape of the pop-up head light is what makes a 3gee, wonder what honda was thinking when they made the fixed headlight version, just looks like a civic gone wrong IMHO

yeah, for sure, i would have fixed headlights any day, over the oem fixed. it does look ALOT like a civic, i would know, i have a few friends that own them....

This is going to be sweet. I really dont like the way my car looks now with the lights up. what would look REALLY tight is to mount the projectors high in the frame and make them pop up only part way.

yeah, i thought about doing that, but the problem with that was space. the projectors are kinda long so it wasnt going to work like that unless i mount them kinda low in there.
