ok so i completly stripped the carb down from the dud car. now what? i dont see how putting all the pieces back on will make it run better, i find that it will run like it always did so what do i do? pic:

looks like it needs attention

also, i searched about flipping the carb and i found people saying they flipped there carb and it runs fine? yet i read that if you flip it, its like pouring petrol right down the intake and its a unknown machanical problem and also not to flip it while rebuilding this carb has already been flipped while it was on the engine.
but in this:

they might aswell flip it. so im completly lost here?!?!? i also found a scratched 2 hell, chipped butterfly valve (i think thats what it's called) and kinda bent. is the bend normal? its the small 1

well if it's bent then you should replace it or just replace the carb.

as for flipping the carb I've done it, but I would do it with the top hat off. Just to be safe so you know the float valve didn't fall out of place.
The top hat is what the float hands from.

so would it be ok to flip the top hat if it was seperate?
