i was wondering if its possible for me to change my 86-87 wiring harness to an 88-89 harness for the pushbutton controls without having much problems with my car. during the time i do that, i also plan to run my car on megasquirt.

would i run into any problems with the harness changes if i dont even plan to use the stock ECU anymore?

let me guess, you have canadian carb?
if you are planning on doing EFi conversion, those buttons will be standart with EFi harness.

actually, i have an 86 canadian fuel injected model. it has sliders on it, along with every 87 model as well. only the 88-89 fuel injected models that i see have push buttons along with the ex and lx carbed models.

i havent looked at my cars harness as of yet, but im guessing that honda probably didnt use the same harness as the USDM models. its mainly hooking up the motor that im having a problem with cause it connected to the main harness on the car

ive got a question here. if i switch to an 88-89 harness, can i use the coupe harness instead of a sedan harness? and what about the sunroof, the donor doesnt have a sunroof, so would i have to manually wire it up?
