ok when im idling in D4 with the brake on, like sitting at a stop sign, my car idles fine, right a 1k but at night or anytime i have my headlights on it idles a little below 1k and the car shakes alot like it wants to stall.
whats up with this?
dont know if this goes along with it but when i have my cd player on and a hard beat or alot of bass is playing the lights on my cd player fade in and out with the beat.

check your grounds on both your amp and your battery and any other aux.

You need a capasitor in your 12 volt power feed. Just be cool after you get juice to it,it can give you a hell of a jolt fooling with it when its charged, it stores 12 volt energy when your system calls for more juice.

How much capacitance do you think it would take? I've got a 200 W (peak, not RMS) deck that dims a little when the bass hits when it's turned up. Were you thinking 5 mF radio shack size or .5 Farad monster size?
Does this topic still belong in Technical or should it get moved to the stereo section?
