the other day while at the junkyard i found a couple accords with 3rd brake lights that had a rubber gasket around the edge where it meets the rear windshield. i grabbed one and put it on the light in my car and it does a very good job of keeping the housing from rattling when your car is going boomy boom. it looks good too, not like the fuzzy side velcro i was using before.

i tried to find honda's part# for it but majestic didn't have a diagram for the tailight section so i'm not sure. i dunno why some accords had it and some didn't but if you look at a junyard you should be able to find one.

meh i dont have a brake light in the rear dash....mine is on my spoiler :D

but you are right. only some accords come with them and others dont. when cory (acid x) and i went to look for my rear disks, we saw one with it and he took it. his didnt have one either. so i guess that made him happy for the day lol.

The part number for the gasket is 34278-SE3-A01 It appears to have been fitted on 1987 4-door models only ( DX, LX, LXi). Coupes and hatches don't show this part at all. Hope this helps.

I think the gasket is different between the coupe and 4 door models... Im not sure though. The JY should have a coupe with one on there though, just go look.
