86 accord did the top hat to clean the bowl everthing went fine test drive started to surge and loose power again do i need to do a complete rebuild car idels fine and runs great expect for the loosing power like it will die replaced a bunch of vac lines also what should i look for next? could it be the fuel pump timing or something esle thanks frank

So is it when you accelerate when you feel the power loss?

Does the car jerk or stall or stumble when you press the accelerator pedal quickly?

Did you have the problems before you cleaned the float bowl and everything?

yes i had problems that why i went to the bowl thing and did that . just crusing along and sund,dly loss of power that is what happens, give gas and no power stalls and starts right back up idels great no missses or any thing fuel filters changed 100o miles ago i am at a loss as what to do next thanks for the help frank i just let it idle whilehaving a beer and it just shut off no missing or any thing could it be crap in the tank just put frwesh gas in it not over heating also

i dont quite remember but there are a few O rings that need to be replaced right? did you replace the gasket and O rings correctly? maybe after removing the top hat its not sealed correctly? maybe that wasnt even the problem, but you may just want to think about getting a carb off another car, maybe you can find one at a junk yard. i dont wanna be a dousche, but its confusing somewhat to read how you type in the posts. complete sentences are easier to read, especially with periods included.

did you replace both filters? and what about your fuel pump,how old is it? it could be starting to go bad, it may be loosing volume and can't keep up at anything but idle.
