My local junkyard offered to let me grab all the part I need for the FI swap for $400. Is this a good deal? It's about the same as Redline's Weber kit and since I don't want to learn about jetting and stuff....

well lets putt this way, you will spend a few weeks putting this stuff in when you could have the weber installed in a few hours.
i say that EFI conversion is not worth the time. plus it is not that hard to learn about carburators.

Ok, time consideration is important. Now I'd like to reduce my costs by going the used route on a Weber. Is the linkage something that I could make myself? And would that mean that the adapter would be the only remaining part that I need to buy from Redline? I'm interested in building a cold air intake for the Weber as opposed to using the top of the carb intake.

Thanks for the advice.

i think if you get a weber kit it will come with everything.
it should have adapter and linkages.

Mike, if he is going to do efi conversion he will not get 122HP. he will get 110hp if he changes the head. compression on carb is 9.1:1 and EFI is 9.3:1
so now you can see he won't get 110 hp. may be 105.

its too expensive bro. not worth it, i did mine under 200 bucks. trust me, your local junkyard will rip ur ass off. just wait and get a car from an auction or something. buy the whole damn car, not parts. trust me, not all the junkyards are like mine. peace.

u have the car with your, it takes about 2 week to get it all ripped and put back together. NOT a long time.

So has anyone done a dyno run with a Weber conversion and posted the numbers?

I prefer EFI over carb (personally)

If you buy a parts car, it'S not expensive and real easy to do....... just takes alot and alot of time to do.
