So... I've lurked here for a while, read most of the site - figured it was time to post my car...
I'm currently on my second 89 lxi - sold the first to a friend, missed it - and bought a new one.
Here's the first:
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/car.jpg (http://clixel.com)
A shitty picture through the window in my old house. The car was a very nice sparkly green with 17s, leather interior, suspension ram air and catback. The leather was totally shredded, the engine ran (and still runs) but was trashed on.
On to the new one... About 6 months after I sold that car, I purchased this one:

Much better condition, but many more miles. It was lowered "the wrong way" by the previous owner... Has adjustable coilovers, but the springs are too small for the car. The thing bounces all over... getting that cleared up is going to be my first project. The rims are 18" enkis - I'll be selling them and getting 17s or smaller.
More pics...

...a shot from the rear... this is NOT an Se-i - the previous owner did that. note the ding in the rear bumper - need to fix that as well.
The engine:

nothing special here... I'm very serious about a b series swap.
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/driver.jpg (http://clixel.com)
body's pretty straight.
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/fromout.jpg (http://clixel.com)
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/backseat.jpg (http://clixel.com)
...the interior's pretty clean.
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/alarm.jpg (http://clixel.com)
Has a very nice clifford alarm with remote start even though it's a stick.
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/panel.jpg (http://clixel.com)
quater million miles -ouch.
oop went over my image limit...

Has a very respectable stereo as well...
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/speaker.jpg (http://clixel.com)
sweet speaker pods.
http://clixel.com/users/mlaargh/trunk.jpg (http://clixel.com)
...and the trunk. pretty clean. A 4 channel amp for the cabin speakers, and another for the flush mounted 10. the bass is solid without being over the top.

I dunno. I wanted the car and had the money, so I bought it... The stereo and alarm are an easy grand alone. He was a regoinal manager at car toys, and did all the installation proprer.

edit... and I sold my trahed prevoius lxi for $3000. To me this one seemed easily worth 500 more

on the rims... make an offer... (wrong forum, I know) I bet they'd be hell to ship*, though. The front passenger one is pretty curb rashy.

*unless you live somewhere near Corvallis, Or and could pick them up.

that car is in a pretty clean shape, i like the way your sound system setup is in the back :)

and if u have it in 1st gear with brake off, and had the remote thingy in ur pocket and pressed the start button while its in ur pocket, would your 3gee go for a ride by itself???

woah dude.. at least you just made me feel better bout paying $1600 for mine but hey if you're happy whatever works :)

nice montery green ride you got there though.. :D we lucked out with the two tone interior.. 2nd best to black imo. though the sedan also has black on the doors which is better than the coupe imo (neener neener :D)

Remote start will do nothing unless the car's in neutral with the brake on...

Appearently they thought of that.

In the pic, the false floor in the trunk looks grey, I assure you it matches the interior.

Not a race car, not daily either... We have a couple other cars. I wanna swap the engine B18, I think- I am NOT a mechanic, though... so it might be kind of an issue. Anyone know of anyone good in the Corvallis/Eugene (or even Portland) area? It'll be a few months off, and I'm aware of the cost.

Serioulsy about the mechanic thing... I need a good mechanic.

Aww whats wrong with 18s lol... i have 215/35s on mine, and although mine isnt as low, mine dont rub at all.
But yeah in all seriousness, as much as they look good, probably arnt the best for performance and also tyres are f*ing expensive :(
But it looks really good dude, i like that colour and it sits at a good height!
