this engine looks a lot like an a20 to me.. but the dude claims it is a 2.2 liter carbed 1990 accord engine. i emailed him and asked and he said yes it is from a 1990 accord and he has 2.. one is carb and one is fi.... i've never seen an f22 carb... is there such a thing?

It's not an F22, none of them came from the factory carbed and there spark plugs are all installed threw the top of the valve cover.

Yeah thats an A20, but in Europe, some 4th gens came with carb's. I think the engine was an F20a, not an F22, but im not positive on that. Im just sure that some 4th gens had carbs overseas.

That motor is the A20, and it's in a 3rd gen accord.

Tell him its an 88-89... or 87-89, it's def. not the BS cause the valve cover doesn't have the screw in emblem.

You should show him a pic of the engine code... and then tell him what the engine code means.
