This is a Hifonics XX Colossus which is rated at 3000 watts rms @ 1 ohm. I'm sure what I'm going to run for subs again, but I figure out something. Incase your wondering, the amp is 42" long or 3'6".

Hifonics are wicked we have them in U.K. too use to have a little Falcon amp running two 8 inch subs and that rocked. Now i have a complete Phase Linear Modular system stuck in my house doing nothing with two 1.2KW 4 channel amps and two .6KW mono amps for two 13" Phase Linear Aliante ltd's with Phoenix Gold Cube and EQ and a brand new never out of box Pioneer DEH-P77MP with it's cool retro looks and dot matrix LCD display. One day i'll have a car worthy of putting it into don't realy won't that kit in the beemer as it's major agro as the Head units are Fibre optic cables and the boot is tiny, Might go nicely into a Aerodeck though with it's huge boot will be good weight distribution too as the rear wheels are right at teh back so the weight will be forward and on top of the rear axle less of pendulum effect when going round corners!!

hifonics? ive heard of them, but nobody i know has ever bought one or even looked into buying one. what are you going to do with "3000" watts? with most of these big amps, they have some way of manipulating buyers by big numbers, then it ends up its power rated at one third the power u were told. you know youre gonna need a 0 gauge wiring kit for that much power, and buy the looks of it it doesnt look like that'll fit the amp? if it works then more power to ya, im just saying ill stick to my audiobahn and kicker components, lol

and whats the model number if i may ask?

The new hifonics amps are complte junk. If you want a good one you have to go back to the Zed Audio days of the 80's. Poor quality and poor sound is what they make now.

This amp was brand new two years ago. At that time a had a Jeep Cherokee Classic. I run into money probelm so I had to sell most of my system and my 96 Cherokee, but I refuse to sell my amp. Thats why I'm driving a 88 Accord. I was running two 12" AW1208T Audiobahn subs and an Audiobahn ACAP651N 12 Farad Capacitor. It slammed harder then any other system I heard. It requires two gauge wire and a 300 amp fuse according to the manual, so thats what I used. If you would like to see my old Jeep, heres the link http://www.sounddomain.com/ride/1802987. The model number is XX-colossus. You might not like or ever heard of Hifonics, but they been around alot longer then other companys including Kicker. Hifonics also holds quite a few world records.

Its surprising you never heard of Hifonics. Their based out of Chi-town.

if you want a good amp you would go with www.zapco.com a buddy i know has like last years model in his 96 impala with 2 12 JL w6 and i never heard/felt that kind of power....you can feel it on your body and my friends hair was shaking.....if im correct they put out 1100RMS and thoes are quality watts not like the 1/2 that they claim from other companies

hifonics and zapco are some really good amps guys. Just remember, to power that beast your gonna need a monster alternator (or alternators) to keep that thing going or itll smoke your battery and stock alternator in a few hours. A stiffening cap will only prolong the inevitable (its a band-aid), and adding batteries will just make the problem worse (they become a resistive load on the alternator when the car is running) I got away with running about 1250wrms on a 140amp alternator on a stock battery with upgraded wiring and it worked good, but that amp also popped 80 amp fuses like i pop pez, and your stock alternator is about 60amp output when hot... so just prepare yourself
