My 5-speed swap is done now, it took 2.5 days. It probably would have been sooner but the store gave me the wrong axel, i didnt have the manual tranny mount at first, the radius rod bolts broke off in the control arm so i had to go get another one, and i found out the hard way that the starter mount is different. Figuring that all those things went worng and that it was done in a gravel driveway on jackstands and basic tools im pretty happy with the turnout.

can you feel a huge difference or is it just like whatever?? ive never driven a 3g auto so i dont know if its a big difference.

good job on the swap though, whats next?? :D

Im getting ready to go drive it now, i had to go to work last night so my buddy finished up a few small things and took it out last night and said its a lot faster now. I also put in my koyo radiator. Im not too sure whats next, im thinking some body work and paint. Im waiting for the new head and b18 intake manifold that i ordered from adam. Im probably going to put on a less restrictive muffler and the air bypass on my CAI next.

well i just drove it and it is definatly a lot faster. im very happy with the swap.

yeah i went from a carbed Dx with automatic trans to a Fuel injected 5speed...way faster....this thing pulls hard...so yeah how do you have your adjustable gear set at? did you dyno that thing yet?

i forgot to take pics. I also removed all of the AC parts. my cam gear is at retarded 2 or 3 degrees i forget, lol. I didnt dyno it yet, i wanted to wait til i did the swap first.

i might as well remove my ac......shit dont blow cold and i cant afford to have it recharged or converted...anyway ive been dying to do a 5 speed swap forever but.....well cant afford that either lmao

The car is running rough in 1st and 2nd any ideas? Im going to change the trans oil this weekend and put in some lucas and see if that helps, its only real noticable when im "racing" it.

I just think that the transmissions for these cars are just so what do you call it AWEKWARD. I think I don't know atleast the automatics are I can vouch for that.

mine does that but in low end like less than 2k RPM and it only did it after i put the adj cam gear.

im going to change the motor mounts, buy new shufter busgings, get an allignment done and see if that helps.
